OK, this one will be nerdy.

Some dudes made their own version of good ol' Wolfenstein 3D based completely on voxel graphics, which means there's not a hint of a polygon - whole game is made of volumetric pixels, there's 37 millions of them in first level alone and you can destroy basically everything - i.e. drill through the wall with your knife if you're patient. Amazing.

Well, you can't get more 3D if even single pixel is 3D. I love such stuff, very innovative. Now I'm waiting for realtime-raytraced game.

Much better and nerdier news:

Valve is going to bring the Source engine to Linux :D

Source is the engine behind games in The Orange Box, and a bunch of others :D Good day for linux gaming!!

I just wish they would release Half Life Ep. 3 soon...but either way GTA4 is still tons of fun!

Anyone else play STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl? I cant wait for the new one, Clear Sky.

Yeah, I hope there will be better AI and less bugs, Stalker is great, but has more bugs than a beehive.

Absolutely! I cant even play it any more because it keeps screwing me over with the updates. Really hoping Clear Sky is better than Shadow, which I have a feeling it will be.

Fucking GIGANTIC.
I'm addicted...

That game is amazing, I'm still going strong with it.

I've yet to get the downloadable content, but its only 400 MS points. It will also be coming to PC soon aswell.

On a different note, the new gameplay beta of Gears of War 2 recently got shown. I'm blown away.
More weapons, more enemies...more everything, can't wait to play it.

Anyone's playing trackmania ?

There are several versions of the game but the editor is cool and there's a free version that let's you get medals on about 60 acrobatic/fast races (you just have to beat the clock) and you can also play online, the other guys are ghosts, but you must beat them anyway :p

All that for free :

(download link : http://www.trackmania.com/en/index.php? ... info&id=17 if you have steam you can find it there too)

I also played Assassin's Creed, but while it's beautiful (the animations particularly), it's plain boring.

Just beat GTA4 on what I would call the "sad" ending for a few reasons, wont spoil anything. Great game, credits take forever to roll thats for sure! haha

I think I got the same ending as you, I may play it again when I get sometime and get the other endings.

One thing which I should have done was get rid of Dwayne, all he does is fucking complain and doesn't do anything for me...I should have taken out Dwayne and keep Playboy X.

Ah well! :P

Nah, you get a cool outfit and a nice safehouse if you take out playboy. Plus I made 2 saves when i had the choice of deal or revenge, so I actually did both yesterday...Revenge is such a better ending.

My friend brought his copy of GTAIV over one night, and we decided to take the helicopter tours to listen to the pilot's funny commentary. Right in the middle of one, my friend wondered if you could jump out while you were taking the tour, so I hit the leave vehicle button only to fall for about 10 seconds and land mere feet away from a construction worker. The worker wasn't even fazed by my violent impact, which made it even more awkwardly funny.

Lollerblades. So true. I love Eastern European atmosphere, so it was easy to keep playing this game, but the ridiculous AI and bugs made it a burden to get through some of the missions.

I am currently playing a 3rd round of Resident Evil 4 to complete some small bits I previously forgot to do. This game is badass.

The only other game I have played so many times is Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, which is a flawed gem of an RPG. The urban/gothic atmosphere is great in this game. It really adds to its replay value.
