Great Movie!

I know it's a cliche, but it's an even better book. I found the movie a little disappointing by comparison. Still worth watching though.

Been doing the blockbuster thing lately. Indy was great to look at and had some good moments but I agree... you reeeeeally had to suspend your disbelief at times. Sure the other films had some outlandish moments, but the tarzan moment is ridiculous. The film just didn't have that magic you go to see these movies for.

On the other hand, Iron Man totally worked for me when I saw it a few weeks ago. Despite the whole "look, there's yet another Audi" advertising element. Downey Jr is one of the best alter-egos in comic book cinema history. Funny, believeable, likeable, rogueish. Again, despite the drawn-on moustache. And the story works. DESPITE the hackneyed dirty-Arab-bad guy premise. See it on the biggest screen you can if it's still playing.

what a load of crap

Thoroughly agreed, although it did provide me with one of my all-time favourite threats:

"If I EVER catch you in my casino again, I will break your cheekbone with a tiny hammer. And then kill you."

WHY TINY HAMMER?! Honestly.

i did like one thing though, the way kevin spacey can make anyone feel like a piece of poo with his disdainful comments

gotta love him <3

I just watched Femalien 2 :wanker:

It was hilarious.

I watched The Girl Next Door and Eurotrip yesterday. They were pretty great. Man living alone is awesome.

Close Encounters Of The Third Kind

Last time i saw it i woulda been 12 and didnt grasp the idea of it. Now i can tell you is a brilliant movie. i burst out in laughter at the part where the dad was constructing the hill out of mash potato because the simpsons parodied it in the clown college episode. anyway amazing movie.

La Haine... means Hate in french. and that's basically what it's about. its about the hate bred out of living in the ghetto in suburban France for a jew, arab, and african after their friend is arrested and then hospitalized via police brutality.

O Brother, Where Art Thou? - awesome music and awesome story. i dug.

Yep, good movie and great music.

"Sunshine" - Strange and interesting. I missed bits of it which didn't help to follow what was going on though.
