I beat MGS4 last night. I will never look at the series the same way again. Hideo Kojima is the man.

On my second run through! So far only 15 alerts and 18 kills. And I'm at the bike chase on Act 3. Not one alert for Act 3. I didnt get an alert on the tracking part either in Act 2. The game is just incredible. It's like playing a movie.

I had lots of kills my first play through (noobed it up), but this time around I'm going for lots of tranq's. I've already found so many things I missed the first time!
Also, what was your main rank for your first play? I got Eagle, among a few others.

Same, Eagle. I guess you get that for having over 150 headshots.

My first time through I had like 400 kills or something (lol). My record on MGS3 was like 11 kills or something like that.

Nice. (*possible [but not really] spoiler*) I was wondering what rank goes in the lone bottom-right-corner box, though. I'm thinking its "Fox" or one of the series' staple rankings most likely.

Wait, 11 kills was your highest or lowest on MGS3? I've achieved no alerts before, but I'm not sure what my lowest kill count was.

Fox is in the top 5 ranks.

11 kills was the lowest I got in MGS3, I honestly dont know how I got them, I only used the tranq gun the whole game.

Diablo III

I was watching the preview trailer thing on the Blizzard site earlier. Unfortunately my son has already told my husband. I had better lock up all the computers. :P

You're using Macs. First of all, they only barely qualify as computers, second of all they don't run games properly. You should be fine.

Been playing Alone in the Dark on 360. Fun game, once you get over the sluggish controls. Very dark, decent story, good graphics. Game play itself is fun thanks to intuitive ways of combating foes. Some parts are a little more than frustrating. Overall I think its a good game if you liked the Silent Hill's and Resident Evil's.

Also going to be playing Rainbow Six Vegas 2 online once again...thanks to Ubisoft actually listening to its customers and fixing what they did wrong to it, as well as adding more stuff for us to mess around with.

Blizzard releases games simultaneously for Mac and PC. Probably why we've still got Diablo 1 & 2, Star Craft and War Craft on them. The husband spent months and months playing Diablo he only stopped when he'd completed the top level for each character possible.

Then again, it did help him quit smoking cigarettes. Traded one addiction for another. :?

I had a game of Alone in the Dark on the weekend. Not a bad game at all, aside from the odd glitches and heavy moment of the controls. If they fixed those odd bugs up, the game would be perfect.

I heard about the update for Rainbow Six Vegas 2, but haven't had the chance to check it out since I've been playing Battlefield: Bad Company to much. BF:BC is an amazing game, love the huge open landscapes to fight on and the mass assortment of vehicles and weapons to use. Its a satisfy feeling to launch a grenade at a wall and see it fall where an enemy is hiding behind, instead of walking all the way around a building just to get inside and surely get ambushed in the process, much like you would on Call of Duty 4. Amazing graphics and one of the most innovative games to use HD sound, which contrasts gunshots from distance, velocity and the power of the weapon.

Also been playing Ninja Gaiden II. Very similar to the original on Xbox, but offers easier controls and a difficulty system fare on everyone. The amount of violence is insane though, having the opportunity to slice off arms and legs of enemies and only dying when you have either beaten them to a bloody pulp with a mace, or decapitating them with your dragon sword. Some areas are quite frustrating with odd camera angles blocking your vision of enemies attacks and boss fights either to hard, or just down right insane to pass.

I probably wont be buying many games for awhile, the only games I want at the moment are Fallout 3, Diablo III and Mercenaries 2.

The Vegas 2 update is awesome. Makes it just like Vegas 1, being able to talk when dead and the regular spawns back in Team Deathmatch

Alone in the Dark is great, I love it personally.

Ninja Gaiden 2 is so much fun. Frustrating at times with the camera and how the enemies attack you...but either way I have fun when I play it, my friend is going to let me borrow it when he beats it.

I have a quite a list of games I want the rest of this year and into next...

Far Cry 2
Mercenaries 2
Starcraft 2
Command and Conquer Red Alert 3
Fallout 3
Resistance 2
Gears of War 2

And I'm sure there's one or 3 more! They need to quit making so many good games all at once...

All sequals, shame really. Why are good original games so rare these days? And why do all good original games come with sequals?
