I freaking love this band, I just found them about 3 months ago and I've been pretty much hooked on them ever since. They kind of remind me of a combination of syl and the killing joke they sound like a giant whale flying through the universe to me, such a huge and heavy sound. Anyways there awesome, anyone else here share my opinions of them?

Great band, but From Mars To Sirius was the first album of theirs that really grabbed me. There's just some odd, indescribable beauty about the album. I have to ignore some of the more kitchy bits of the last part-- not to take anything away from the environmental message of the album, but honestly that's just not the images and messages I get from it, personally-- but it's fantastic, 'Global Warming' is a perfect closing track, although I hate the name. It always feels like the entire album takes me to some fantastic world with all these wonderful landscapes and creatures, and then the last track just drops me in the middle of a modern city at night. It's hard to describe, but it's very sad for me, every time I hear it.

I'm not a big fan of Terra Incognita, but its still a good album. The Link and From Mars To Sirius are amazing. I dont know if you guys have heard their demo, Possessed, that came out before Terra, but its more straight forward metal, not the Gojira we know and love...but still pretty awesome.

I stumbled across this band last week and they're not too dissimilar to the sound of FMTS Gojira:

Haha... Right down to having a song named after some kind of sea creature transposed to the aerial realm. Lots of 'inspiration' from Gojira, looks/sounds like. :) Kinda wish they had a more unique vocalist, though. He kinda sounds like just about every other hardcore singer out there... The music itself is really good though. (Just for clarity, I'm talking about The Ocean and not Gojira, obviously :P)

YES.

I keep meaning to ask if anyone else here had heard of their stuff....its extremely awesome! For fans of Gojira/Devy/SYL quite possibly.

I also have Fogdiver, Aeolian and Fluxion...all fantastic.

Cant wait for the new Gojira album. Topping FMTS will be highly unlikely, but I am sure they will come up with something great.

On that note, anyone else seen this?

It is a sneaky preview of Gojira rehearsing for the new album. Said new album is also due for release on October 13th in Europe and will be called "The Way Of All Flesh". Think that is an SYL-ism?

Woo!
