I used it in that mission too, kept all the guys alive.

The blaster ammo can quite literally fall from the sky.
I'm currently exploring up north, watching for Deathclaws (those things frighten the shite out of me) and as I got near a broadcast tower, there was a roar from above. I looked up and saw something sailing overhead, leaving a smoke trail. Whatever it was exploded...and it rained about a dozen (that I've found so far...keep looking around nervously) blaster cells! What a cool little moment!

hmmm...none of that has happened to me so far. I did find several broadcast towers. I will need to visit them again once in a while. I still want that special fatman but have like 5 regular ones so far. And over 30 mini nukes now. And only one more Supermutant Behemoth to get rid of 8at least I read there's only 5). Haven't come across it yet though. Played close to 60 hours now and still discover new stuff. I have discovered a bit mor than 100 locations so far. But I'll reach level 20 soon, then I'll pick the explorer perk, or whatever it is called, and then it should be easy to reach any location. Have you guys done that survival guide quest for Moira yet? I was mighty disappointed about the payment after taking care of so much stuff for her!! I agree, the Deathclaws rule but I also LOVE the 'Glowing ones'

Found it.
I went back at night and found about a dozen more blaster ammo...easier to spot 'em in the dark.
Brought Dogmeat with me, sent him to look for weapons and he found the Firelance in 10 seconds.

Nice gun. I like what it does to Giant Radscorpions. (HATE those bastids)

I managed to install Oblivion last week. Haven't played much yet, I'm only just out of that first cave. I wasn't very impressed with the framerate once I got outside (maybe emulating Windows in a Linux environment isn't very efficient, heh) so I'll have to see if I an figure something out.

It's not cool when you hear the exciting music because you're being attacked but you can't see by whom or from where because the aggressor is further away than your drawing distance

I don't have monies for that, sorry. Besides, Xbox is just as much a Microsoft product as Windows
I do have an old Xbox but it doesn't quite run those new games


In all honesty, I would have to say that the 360 would be the best option when looking for a gaming console. My heart would want a PS3 because the awesome geek-factor, but the 360 would be the best bang for your buck. Pretty much the same games for much less money, I believe it's cheaper than the Wii by now even (which has died along with the hype).
For now at least. My guess is that within 2 years there will be a new Xbox 720 or whatever. The PS3 however only just started and can go on for many more years. Plenty of games still being released for the old PS2 these days, go figure! Sony claimed they would keep the PS3 alive for 10 years.
