I could have gotten the Killzone 2 demo, but I didnt feel like reserving it at the time.

Been playing the new Prince of Persia quite a bit. Fun game, I'm really liking a lot of the level designs and the soundtrack to it.

New time trial maps for Mirror's Edge this month! Along with the first expansion to Fallout 3!!

This year looks very good for games already, though not nearly as many heavy hitters as last year. Next month alone we have Killzone 2 and Fear 2 Project Origin. March comes Resident Evil 5, probably the biggest known release of this year(so far to say the least.)

Titles I'm looking forward to(and hoping will come out this year)
Mass Effect 2(this is #1 on my list of wanted games)
Deus Ex 3(this is a big doubt in my opinion, this is more than likely a 2010 release, but god I would LOVE to see it this year!)
Bioshock 2
Half Life 2 Episode 3
new Rainbow Six game(PLEEEEEEASE UBISOFT PLEASE!)
New Castlevania(supposedly for current gen systems! I've read about the possibility!)

Ive been playing a little bit of Oblivion on PC too but it gets kind of boring. I have neverwinter nights but i haven't really gotten into it lately, mainly because of school.

I'm highly, highly addicted to NHL 09 now. This one is actually kinda challenging! Scoring isn't the piece of cake it used to be in the older games.. Just really enjoyable overall! Doesn't get old fast like a lot of sports games, I find..

Nothing out at the moment I really want, though. Which is kind of annoying.. Really, really, really looking forward to I Am Alive whenever that'll be released.. Hopefully on its Q2 schedule. *fingers crossed*

I'm playing Shadow of the Colossus for PS2 ( I also don't have a PS3 or anything.I was the last kid on my block to get PS2. I rarely get into vid games but I'm kinda on break so...) I sure feel guilty bringing down those big puppies but what a beautiful game.

Now comes the choice, will you also want to watch HD movies on this TV? If so PS3 is your best bet for the Blu Ray and the fact that almost all games are cross platform now. If you dont care about HD movies and such, 360 is your best bet...if you just want to game and possibly play online.(PS3's online component is not THAT bad, its just not as good as Xbox's)

pretty much exactly the way i was thinking by what i've researched around the net, but thanks! :D

Live is really awesome, although it's not free, and the PS Network is not as near as a good service, but hell, it only costs me bandwidth  (if i'm not mistaken)
I'm actually inclined to the PS3, not only for the blu-ray support, but because i don't really like the X-Box-only franchises (especially cause a great deal of them are shooters, and i just can't stand playing shooters on consoles), while PS3 has got gems like God of War and Little Big Planet (queer game, but i loves it  ).

The main drawback is that games, that were already expensive, will tend to get more expensive because of the economical crisis (1 Dollar = 2,20 Reais, nowadays), so they're usually around 200 bucks. And since i'm a cheap bastard, that weights a lot on my decision, since the Xbox is cheaper than the PS3.

But since my savings are toasted, i'll just have to wait a bit

Ah yes if you dont like shooters PS3 is the best choice. God of War 3 is going to be out of this world. Metal Gear Solid 4(shooter, yes. Best game ever, possibly) is the main reason I bought a PS3(my dad has one too, but he wouldn't give it up long enough for me to play MGS4! lol)

Price wise both systems are close, an 80 gb PS3 is about 400 USD. Xbox isnt much less(namely the Elite, which in my opinion is the much better option if you're getting an xbox.)

And like I said before, most games are multi-platform now so its not like you miss out on too much.

well....I personally think, having both consoles, that when it comes to multiplatform games the xbox ones are usually better. That's just my opinion. I have experienced that multiplatform games usually have bigger framerate issues on the PS3 and the textures just look better on the xbox 360. That's probably because the PS3 is a very complicated thing to program for and I guess the same goes for portations. But you gotta be a detail prick like me to notice that. Having that said...the PS3 has Metal Gear Solid 4 which indeed is one of the best games ever. It was also reason enough for me to get the PS3 and I was sooooo not disappointed. And although I was one of the first people who said 'I'll never get blu-rays....it's overrated, blab blab blab' I own over 30 of them now and don't want to live without such quality anymore. Yes, I'm a whore. And let's not forget the mighty Resistance 2...yes, it's a shooter but it's so impressive that even people who are usually not into shooters would dig it, I'm sure. Another aspect to consider...the gamepads. Some think the PS3 gamepad is too small, others think the Xbox 360 gamepad is too big. I personally think they're both good in their own way. Also....if you plan to go online with your console, then you can actually even use the PS3 integrated browser, which is cool...although it ain't really perfect either. I couldn't send emails with it yet so far. If you want to play with other people online, I'd prefer the xbox then...yes, you would have to pay for that but it's worth it and I just think the xbox 360 is the better online multiplayer console. Also, I think the xbox 360 offers more 'demos' online. The PS3 on the other hand has a program called 'Home' which is sort of like 'second life'. I didn't check that out yet though. Seems to be pretty involved and I might just be too lazy for that, heh :) Anyways....lots of bla bla and it probably didn't help you at all

Home is really cool, not that big of a deal but it can be in depth if you make it that way.

Resistance 2 is an incredible game, the scale of it makes you feel tiny.
