Get Fallout 3. There actually is no better game. I just started on a Good Karma run-through yesterday.. I've played it for well over 100 hours and still not anywhere near getting old. Epic, endless, awe-inspiring fun.

I Am Alive could actually be a good one! But I haven't seen any actual gameplay footage, only seen pics so it's ahrd to tell.

oh and the PS3 may not die as often as the Xbox but I personally think the Xbox does better with multiplatform games...that's why I mostly use the PS3 for blu-rays at the moment, heh. The PS3 has lots of potential but I guess it's just not much fun to program for it!

yeah...Ubisoft and EA too have come up with some pretty cool stuff lately!

xbox withdrawal sucks, btw!!! Why can't it be late February already...then I could at least play Killzone 2! The Fallout 3 add-on should be released next Tuesday or so and who can't download it?

I should request journalists writing Far Cry 2 reviews to refund me my copy. This game has 86% average rating on metacritic yet kinda stinks.

EA has done pretty good lately with Mirror's Edge and such(fucking LOVE Mirror's Edge)

Ubisoft Montreal is just a damn good developing company. I mean after the Rainbow Six Vegas games, I can easily say they make some of the best multiplayer games out there.

Very pissed though that they brought up Assassin's Creed 2, GRAW 3 and Splinter Cell Conviction with no mention of a new Rainbow Six :furious:

I thought I was late to the craze, but my roommate just got Mirror's Edge. It's pretty entertaining--time trials are fun. The actual story and some of the scenery are a bit lacking (what's with the fucking whitewash?), but the gameplay is unique.

He also got Left 4 Dead, though. Killing zombies > running. :D

The overly white scenery is a statement to the 1984 Big Brother style government they have. It shows how sterile everything is in their world. I think its very suiting for a game like Mirror's Edge. I just hope they make a second, because they absolutely set it up for a sequel.(Plus the music was the shit in ME)

Regardless of its symbolism, the whitewash just makes gameplay less exact for a control system that demands precision. Besides, Orwell's 1984 had substance, but the ME plot comes off as a little unimaginative to me. My biggest problem with the game was its limitations, I guess. You can only interact with a few objects, and the whole thing is over before you know it. I think it's a good start, but hope that in the next installment they take it up a notch.

To reiterate: killing zombies > running.
