RE5 is gonna blow our fuckin' asses off. In the meantime, I am obsessed with Mass Effect (PC version). I just can't...stop...playing.

I've got mass effect on the 360, got about an hour into it (when you actually start playing lol) and my enthusiasm just died. haven't gone back to it in months. just finished fallout 3 (GS of 870), going to go back to forza 2 and see if i can finally complete it lol

And trust me, come Friday you will see a post about how awesome Killzone 2 is! :P

That being said, this means just over 2 weeks until Resident Evil 5 comes out...yes, RESIDENT EVIL FUCKING 5. I cannot wait, being the RE fanboy that I am...

Shellshock 2 really ain't a great game....the graphics aren't really fantastic by any means (definitely no next-gen textures and there's framerate probs) and the gameplay ain't very good either. Shooting and actually hitting an enemy isn't very easy and you run out of ammo strangely quick which makes the game somewhat frustrating now and then. Also, everything in the game seems to be scripted, meaning that swarms of enemies will come and come untill you reach a certain point in the game...so sometimes it's better to just run and reach such a point. That's if you don't get killed before you get there. Now that sounds very negative but there also are some fun aspects. It's just superviolent and bloody and the atmosphere is very creepy and even if it's not a great game by any means, it has its fun moments. I wouldn't pay more than 30 bucks for it though if I were you. Or just rent it.

also regarding you posting how awesome Killzone 2 is.................DAAAAAAMN YOOOOOU  just kidding. I'll just have to be very, very patient....I mean, seriously patient...enormously...boo hoo

and I just read that the producer of Resident Evil 5 said that RE5 will be the last of its kind...whatever that's supposed to mean. Maybe the last RE action game, meaning a return to the old survival horror elements? Or maybe the last RE?

Probably of the action variety. I think it's about time RE returns to its Survival Horror roots. Luckily they didnt beat the RE action twist like a dead horse, 2 games is all they need for it.

There are too many loose ends in the RE universe that need clearing up, I dont feel like getting into them right now though.

Yes, Killzone 2 is all I have to look forward to right now...

Burnout: Paradise City = best racing game ever.
Open enviroments & gameplay and smashing people on the wall = coolness!
And YAY, it's ARCADE!

I played the RE5 demo on both ps3 and xbox360, and they play pretty much the exact same: SLOW.
At least i can manage to aim with those damn analog controls :P

If you like simulation race games like GRID and stuff like that, Burnout isn't the game for you. But if you don't mind cars driving themselves, and no delay in your race when you ravage through a car repair spot, it gets nicer :D
Sometimes i used to boot up GTA just to drive around, so i really enjoyed the open-endness of Paradise City. And hey, there's even a "Showtime" mode, where you make your car jump around like a frog on hot water and get points for smashing on traffic. It gets kinda sluggish on my computer, but fun nevertheless :D

Bad things: no real-time multiplayer. There's a pack called "Burnout: Party" in which you select how many players there are, how many small tests they're gonna compete on, and then each goes on a turn, winner being the guy with the most points. Still, it's pretty fun. Not that fun because you have to pay like 30-40 bucks to download the game, and then other 10 bucks just to get the party add-on (the whole new mercenary way of thinking that eaten EA from the inside really pisses me off nowadays :P)

yeah, the gameplay is real slow...kind of like Gears of War. A while back Capcom said they'd add a function to the gameplay that allows you to aim, shoot and walk and the same time. Now I read they get rid of that function again :(

oh and I'm almost done with Shellshock 2...aaaaand....it's still no great game!

I highly recommend playing Burnout Paradise. Not only is the game alone amazingly addictive, but most of the DLC is absolutely free and includes weather effects, day/night effects, trophies, custom soundtracks, and motorcycles (with their own events to complete). Only recently did they start charging for DLC with the Party package thing. It's only $10 or so, but one should be able to find the game for less than $30, so you can get basically get a lot of stuff for $40 total. Sure it kinda sucks that they didn't include most of the DLC as part of the actual game, but since most don't have price tags, I'm not complaining!

Actually I was reading about the "Ultimate Box" which includes ALL of the DLC. I think I will get it eventually...If Killzone weren't coming out friday and if Resident Evil 5 didnt follow 2 weeks later I would buy it now...

my Killzone 2 arrived earlier than expected.....and it's awesome!!! Hah, there....I said it! The graphics are the best I have seen so far, I'd say. The controls are different and boy, there's tons of action. TONS. Almost too much for my poor ole brain  To all the die hard PS3-haters....you're missing out on quite something! Oh and my copy of Street Fighter 4 arrived today too and I'm loving that one too. It's tougher than I thought, even on the 'normal' difficulty setting. Or maybe I'm just not kicking ass! Heh :P But it's fun. I got that for the PS3 as the XBox 360 controller certainly wasn't made for beat 'em ups and I didn't want to buy an arcade stick controller thingie just for that game.
