Unfortunately there arent many puzzle until about the 3rd and 4th chapters...By the time I got to the puzzles I literally said "It's about damn time, this is a Resident Evil game after all..."

there weren't really too many puzzles in RE4 either. But the dark atmosphere probably was a bit more Resident Evil-like in RE4. But still RE5 is awesome none the less. And the achievements are partly kind of cute. Yesterday I found the last remaining egg I needed to find and also killed a zombie with a rotten egg

I'm taking care of my girlfrend's family's cats and dogs this week while they're away, so I've got their PS3 at my disposal. I rented RE5, and I've played through the first two chapters so far. Seems pretty good. The only experience with the series I have is Resident Evil 4 for Wii, and that's a little odd just because of the control scheme. But it seems like the game will be enjoyable. I have yet to take damage, though (on Normal). I'll report back after playing a little more of the game.

New gaming experience, On Live.

This is a great idea. It would work well in America, but something like this in Australia would be none existent since our internet connections are so bad. I'm currently running a 1.5mg connection, and still find it hard sometimes to view, spectate or play online with others on my PC.

I have a decent gaming computer, but something like this would greatly improve the standards of PC gaming...but the only downfall would be our embarrassing internet connections compared to the rest of the world.

All servers are based in America which is the main problem with console gaming. They seriously need to allow Xbox360 and PS3 users to choose the region their in to play who they want. The majority of games I play have the users based in America since the ratio of gamers in America is multiplied by the amount of more people across the country with those systems.

There have only been afew games recently that allow you to choose a region your in. An example of this would be Killzone 2. It allows the player to select any country and it will automatically find a game with a majority of gamers from that region.

Regardless of its region selection, On Live would be great for people using low end entry level PCs who want to play something like Crysis. I remember buying Crysis when I first bought my PC and could run it in medium specs, but was ridiculously slow compared to a PC with a high end GPU.

Hopefully this does come to Australia as it would greatly improve PC gaming. Its quite apparent now that PC gaming has lost alittle of its flare since so many games demand such high end hardware in a PC. We'd first need to update our internet connection as the best we have to offer in Australia is ADSL+2 which isn't even running at full speed. America and Europe are running at 5mb per second, that's 4 times as fast as a normal ADSL (boardband) connection)

The only major downside to this would be the price of the unit itself. I assume it will cost as much as a mid to high end PC which contradicts its purpose anyway.

Clearly though, gamers still prefer to have a physical game which they can physically have in their hand, along with manuals and extra content like limited edition packaging and bonus items.

Online gaming and communities have become a big part of video games in the last 10 years, more so with consoles. Having something like this would make it alot easier for people with less funds to experience a great game without forking out for video cards, motherboards, ram and a decent processor...but alot of people will not think to highly of something which can only be downloaded. It may save on time on effort, but logically speaking it will work in the short term aspect, but later on they'll be able to charge more, have hidden costs and so on.

Hard to imagine both streaming of reasonably high quality video and having responsive controls through the internets. Interesting idea none the less, maybe I'm just too used to shitty connections.

I wouldn't need to use it, I do have a decent PC and I do prefer to have either physical copies or just use Steam.

I wonder what ever happened to the Wii.

Besides everyone buying it and not playing it because there aren't any good games.

I play mine fairly frequently, actually. Just not as many big name games for it. If you have one, then get yourself a copy of Okami and play that shit, yo!

I still want a Wii. I just have a hard time justifying the purchase of yet another gaming system. :?
My sis' family plays their Wii non-stop. They also have a blast with the Wii Fit.

Argh! I waaaaaant one.
-No! You have every other Nintendo system, a PS2, an Atari, a Gameboy, various hand-held games, 2 computers...
Yeah, but this is different. And I've never played a Wii.
-You don't play the ones you have. You ditched Bioshock a third of the way through, even though you loved it.
You're right. Still want one.

And on and on it goes.

They're great fun, try shaking them up in a shopping centre! :D

I got a Wii, cause I am a major sucker for Mario games...also I didn't pay for any of my games, just waited till my mates got sick of theirs and offloaded them to me! Currently playing Mario Galaxy, getting RE4 soon...
