Saw Crank: High Voltage yesterday. Where action films never do too much for me, the first one really clicked with me - I enjoyed the quirky yet unholy freneticism of it all, incredibly over the top. Nice video game touches etc, some very nice camera work.

Crank 2 blows it away on every aspect. Unexpectedly brilliant :D

Barry Lyndon : Great, watched the 3h without noticing it was that long. It's all just well done, flows well, feels authentic.

Watched the leaked version of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I was really impressed by it. The leaked version had a ton of unfinished CGI and wire work but man it was really good. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Just saw Little Miss Sunshine for the first time yesterday. I wanted to see it when it came out, but I was put off by the R rating, so I didn't go see it. Until yesterday. I loved it just as much if not more than I thought I would when I first saw the preview for it.

I've also recently watched In America and The Wrestler, both of which I also greatly enjoyed. Both very well done movies.

Inside Man. Had a bit of a dowantCliveOwen thing yesterday so we watched it, and it turned out to be bloody brilliant! Really clever and enjoyable movie. And any movie gets +1 for Willem Defoe.

Rules of Attraction is one of those films that I definitely saw when I was too young to be watching a film derived from a Brett Easton Ellis novel. Anyway, I'll be getting the book out of the library tomorrow, buying the film whenever I next have any money and buying the book in the summer so I can drool all over it like I did American Psycho. Fuckkking winnn.

I finally saw "Begotten" the other day. I'd seen clips before, but nothing prepares one for the real thing. It officially ranks tied for "Best Movie Ever" in my list, along with "Nosferatu", "The Navidson Record", "Night Junkies" and "Ghost in the Shell".

just came home from seeing Flight 666 (the documentary Sean Dunn made about Iron Maiden's "Somewhere Back in Time" tour), which is pretty great, especially if you're a maiden fan since you're a kid, like me

and also saw The Hauting in Connecticut, which is a quite nice scary movie. Unlike most horror movies, it actually tends to get better when it's getting to the solution point. But still, could have been more lapidated, i kept alternating between "this is cheap and sucks" to "WTFMAMMA?!?!? "

But I'm sure it will be great since Robert Downey Jr. can do no wrong. No wrong at all :P :P :P

I just saw it. It was AWESOME. Really sad movie, but extremely believable. You didn't feel like you were watching actors play characters, but like you were watching real people.

Highly recommended. :)

Hearing people say a prayer with an Irish accent while killing people is AWESOME.

Yeah. It's actually law here that if you kill someone while saying a prayer, and one of the witnesses declare it to be awesome, you get off scot free.

I wish.

All Saints Day's out at the end of the year. Can't wait! :D
