Das Boot (1981 I think)

I've read a book, so I thought I'll steal the movie off internets (actually I could just borrow it from my bro on DVD but was too lazy) and watch it once more (saw it ages ago). It's one of these movies that didn't age a little bit - it's still dark, grim, claustrophobic, tense and does just everything to show that being a member of a submarine crew was among most stressful jobs evar. Movie is about German u-boot, but message is universal - it's about fear so thick you can slice it with a knife. Cinematography is brilliant - sure special effects are bit old, but still there are some impressive storm shots and amazing dynamic takes inside the ship. And music is brilliant. 11/10.

Read the book, if you want to see closer what happens in mind of a man imprisoned in nearly collapsing submarine 280 meters below the surface of the sea.

Antikörper, It was alright. There was some weirdness at the end.
kinda a silence of the lambs ripoff, but they knew it and even cracked a joke about it. :D
made it worth watching.

Then I started to watching Hollow Man, but the first thing I saw was kevin bacon so I ran far far away.

Last night I saw Wolverine Origins - I don't give a shit what anybody says, I liked it beginning to end - and not just because of the Hugh Jackman muscle moments. It was really cool.

Actually, I thought Sabertooth was the character to be enthralled with. That fool was badASSSSSS! And though there was a decent amount of depth to the plot lines, yet was really easy to follow. I didn't feel like it was 'let's add a thin plot line and minimal dialogue to balance out the long fight scenes!' No it was awesome. Liev Schreiber FTW.

I'm sure there are die-hard fanboys out there with something to say, but I don't want to hear it.

Harold & Kumar: Escape From Guantanamo Bay

i loved the 1st one but this one sucked. nowhere near as funny. mostly lame jokes and no storyline pace at all.

Iron Maiden, Flight 666.

Sensational stuff! Enjoyed it muchly, brought back memories, of the 80s when they were pretty much my favourite band on the planet (equal with Rush), when I saw them in 92 and when on saw them on that tour last year. Plenty of good Melbourne footage in the movie, which was awesome. Captured the raw emotion of especially the South American fans seeing them for the 1st time. Possibly a little bit 'samey'/'episodic' by the last 1/2 hour (ie. band flies into new city, scenes of crazy fans, interviews with said crazy fans, time lapse view of massive venue filling with people, epic concert footage, flies on to next city), but that's a small criticism. Overall an absolute MUST for Maiden fans, and Rock/metal fans of any description will love it. Definitely worth your hard earned...

Saw the Dead Like Me: Life After Death movie. Nice continuation of the tv series, really enjoyed it. I really hope it gains a little momentum and popularity and they all decide to make a 3rd (and 4th and 5th etc etc) season. Loved the first 2 Dead Like Me seasons. :)

Glad you liked it. Yeah Dead Pool was great - usually I think of Ryan Reynolds as playing shit-head boyfriend roles in movies, but he stepped up this time.
I think the last epic fight scene between that engineered mutant dude, Wolverine, and Sabertooth was probably my favorite part. Edge of seat.

I saw this Werner Herzog movie 'Aguirre the Wrath of God' for the 4th time the other night. If you haven't seen this movie, you have no idea what it really is to be metal

Seriously, it's so metal.
