Not as bad as daft punk 1st album though (I just recently discovered that I HATE that album when I decided to listen to it after "around the world" (a 7 minutes long repetitive piece of crap) got on my nerves for the bazillionth time the other day), or that new kanye west song. It's amazing, so amazing, pretty amazing, fucking amazing, amazingly amazing how such a song gets radio broadcast. Isn't r'n'b'rap'n'stuff supposed to be a few rhythms with words on top of it ? Kanye west just invented the song with 1 rhythm and 1 word. And those sell out radios jump on it like flies on a steaming turd.

I don't think I could of said it better myself. Theres one just as awful as this too. There seems to be this festation appearing of scene bands. I sure hope it gets killed quickly. Before I am forced to take matters into my own hands.

Seriously. I've been living through it since day one. Talk to any one of these kids, they're the most conceited people on earth (nasally voice included). All they want is attention. If you ignore them, they go away eventually. It takes them a LONG time to get the hint, but they'll go away once they find closed ears (and then talk about you behind your back).

I prefer to kick it in the teeth than ignore it; like you say, they're going to bitch to their "friends" about you anyway. I don't mean tell them how dumb scene kids in general are, I mean expressly state all of the reasons why they personally are a piece of shit. I was out a few weeks ago and some girl came up and started mocking the fact that I wasn't dressed up (I mean, what the fuck. Why would she even care what I looked like?). Her exact words were "Wow, did you even look in the mirror before you came out?"

I told her that based on how she looked, the fact that she had actually approached me and the subject matter she had brought up; I could clearly see that she was horribly insecure, probably to a psychopathic degree. I also told her that her aggression towards me was probably just her method of suppressing how absolutely empty her life is, and how fickle and soulless all of her friendships must be. Furthermore, I informed her that anyone merely looking at her could instantly tell that being shallow and superficial was the only thing she could do that would compensate for her utter lack of individuality or uniqueness on any level. She stopped trying to retaliate part of the way through and started crying. Which just meant that her make-up went all over her and made her look even more like a suffocating panda than she already did.

I didn't feel bad. You don't go up to somebody who you don't know in a pub and tell them they look like shit. She made me feel pretty shit, I had spent at least five minutes getting ready to leave the house that evening. PS: it was in the bathroom so there was loads of people coming and going the whole time, and six people continually watching, laughing their asses off. One of them gave me a pat on the back as I was leaving.

(I was referring to the culture itself as much as the individuals in it, and I guess things are different in Ireland and the US, but let me respond to the above statement appropriately)

You should've kicked her in the teeth though. Go for the extremes. Either ignore them completely or beat them into a pulp.

Are you sure she was crying? Sometimes scene kids look like they're crying but really they're just bleeding from the eyes.
