Talk about whatever you want to here, but stay correct

Is anybody looking for an au pair? I really want to travel this year, considering I'm not going to college until September 2010. I'm great, seriously. Would particularly like to live in a busy city or in a farmy environment - two extremes, I know; I'm just so sick of suburbia. :D

I have a profile on this site: http://www.newaupair.com/aupair_profile ... es=218864# but you mightn't be able to see the main part so I screencapped it. I don't really mind where in the world I go, I just wanna leave Cork!

I'll ask around here in Chicago. Chances are it will be in a suburb, but only a 15 minute train ride from the city.

The first part of a proposed three-album series, Ki drifts by and leaves perhaps not the mark Townsend was expecting. Rarely does the madman leave us wanting more, but in this case, he has. Guess that’s what the next two albums are for, eh?

Reviewer seems to suck at paying attention. Or maybe he only has three fingers to count on or something. :?

The art of critiquing and the practice of being opinionated have blurred into one in 21st century journalism (And way before that, actually).

Sorry, but progressive deathcore?!
Who invents this shit!
Any genre seems to end up being tagged with progressive at some point. Oh, add an ambient passage or a different vocal and its progressive. Geez...

I'd like to know too. Cause I consider Veil of Maya just metal, but everyone calls them deathcore. I hate "core" titles

Yep, metal will do for me.
Things are so cyclical it just seems that any band that becomes popular at a certain time is tagged with the current trendy tag. Deathcore is a prime example.
Death metal with what? A fringe?
I need to get over the breakdowns in music, everytime I hear one I switch off.

Yea. I had to get used to them. After a while bands like Born of Osiris and Veil of Maya really grew on me. Their "breakdowns" are usually awesome grooves. Definitely Meshuggah influenced.

Tomorrow I will probably know if I have a job! \o/

And I wonder, what might cause my laptop to not work (literally, it won't go on) if the battery is in, but if I take it out it works? Perhaps I just need a new battery?

Thats the thing. I had an aversion to 'breakdowns' after hearing too many support bands resorting to getting a response from the crowd by doing it. Just got boring.
But then I saw Gojira and realised that they have breakdowns in a lot of their songs so I thought why do I love Gojira? I obviously overlook it, so why is it such a big deal. Good music is good music. It either connects or it doesn't. Simple as.

Throw the cores away.

Why do we as a society even bother making genres? It would be great if we got rid of that bad habit. Don't consider it anything, just consider it what it is.

Also incidentally Mark from Veil Of Maya would probably punch anyone who called them anything-core.

Good! I'm glad he would do that. I bet he just says "we're a metal band"

Do you still talk to him, by any chance?

No, I haven't seen him in a long time, but my friend Vince does. Why?
