Metal Gear Solid: Rising is multiplatform, PS3, 360 and PC. The 'MASK' project which Kojima hasn't revealed yet is strongly rumoured to be a new Castlevania title.

Alas, no new Zelda for Wii announced at the Nintendo press conference this morning, but there were a few interesting games, including The Conduit, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Metroid: Other M (a new 3rd-person Metroid that looks very different). :D

And of course, keeping in line with typical Nintendo policy, they also announced a bunch of useless shit that no one actually wants, such as the "Wii vitality sensor."

Now it's on to Sony's conference, to see what they have in store. E3 effectively turns me into a little kid every year. :P

As for L4D2 goes - No idea how they are swinging it. All I know is there is more stuff added too it. I'm pretty sure theres more than another 4 maps. Theres mroe chracters too, new AI directior, which controls weather, paths, objects, etc which is pretty cool.

Splinter Cell looks awesome!

Don't get the big deal if MSG decides to open up platform variety. Seriously who cares? The new MSG (The one for xbox too) Isn't anything to do with the 4th one in the series anyway. So, you know I guess the PS3 still has its "one up" there.
I have also never bothered with MSG, so that could explain a little. :D

Project Natal is pretty awesome too. The Lionhead thing was awesome. Although the "goggle catch" could be swung both ways. She could of reflexed to catch it, in fear of the 'game' ending or restarting. Although when he takes the paper, sure that is pretty awesome.

The Last Guardian....whoa...just whoa....Team Ico consists of magicians

and I'm glad my Red Faction won't get here before Prototype comes out because I pre-ordered them together...unless Amazon decides to send it seperately. Then I'm fucked as I just started to play InFamous as well

MGS, my dear. MSG is a very different thing all together.

And yes, the New Splinter Cell does look awesome. Very, very awesome.

And I want the thing Lion Head did. I want it now. The whole of project Natl, in fact. I am enthralled by the idea.

The news of MGS: Rising was one of the biggest stories of E3, and after Sony's focus on MGS: Peacewalker I was beginning to wonder if they'd mention anything else about Rising being multi-platform. I'm glad to know that it has been confirmed (in an interview post-conference) for the PS3. Sweetness. The very end of the trailer stated "Sneak in"...obviously they have to utilize Raiden's new cyborg-ness, but I hope they maintain that stealth element, too. Still gives players the ability to either play it smart and sneak or go guns-blazing and power their way through.

I could really care less that Xbox 360 is getting a taste of the Metal Gear franchise...spread the love, that's what I say.

The thing I am kinda annoyed by is the fact that there are people complaining about Raiden. When MGS2 came out, everyone cried about not being able to play as Solid Snake for most of the game. So when Kojima makes MGS4 and players can play as Solid Snake throughout the game's entirety, Raiden gets a huge overhaul and is instantly adored by nearly everyone. I myself wanted the chance to play as this new version of Raiden, so I'm pumped to get that chance. But now everyone still wants Snake...as far as I'm concerned, Solid Snake's journey ended in MGS4. Let him be, ya know?

So after reading a synopsis of the Sony Press Conference at E3 I think Sony may once again be on top of things by mid 2010. The things they had in there were outstanding. MGS Peacewalker is a sequel to MGS3 set 10 years after. Gran Turismo 5 and Gran Turismo PSP will both be out soon enough. There is going to be a brand new Resident Evil for PSP that, just from the logo, looks like it may be a throw back to the good old days of RE games!

Not to mention the fact that they showed their motion sensing controller that is supposedly so precise that you can write your name with it as if it were a pen.

I think Sony is about to pull ahead in the console race, what with games like Final Fantasy 13, God of War 3, MAG(which is playable at E3 with the full 256 people playing), and MGS Peacewalker. Microsoft better do better than Halo 3 ODST which looks like a cheesy Halo 3 copy with more talking involved.

TallNerdGuy wrote: Visions is the song that makes me wonder if the game developers hate the fans in someway and wanted to punish them. I can pass practically every song on expert guitar, and I'm not too shabby on expert drums, but Visions on anything just isn't fun. Its because of songs like it that make me wish they had a "song deletion" feature.

I think there are a lot of songs that are more boring than Visions.(Well, atleast on drums.) Songs like Lazy Eye or White Wedding to name a couple.

The second Halo thing they mentioned, Reach, looked pretty interesting.

And the SOny thing looked really, really phallic. Not saying it woun't be awesome and it has it's blatent merits, but it still looks like a damned penis.

Aaand Peacewalker sounds amazing. It was, in fact, exactly what I wanted. Now I Just need a PS3. Job hunting market, here I come!
