I know I'm late, but I finally got around to watching Transformers 2 last night.

Even with my low expectations it was a disappointment. Slapstick with autobots, ghettobots, Devastator with giant dangling robot balls... I facepalmed so many times. The story was all over the place as well, and I don't get why they gave Soundwave such a generic growly voice instead of his original cool dual-layered robot voice with a slight pitch for his last words...

The fighting was alright though, as were the slow-motion clips of Megan Boob. But that's about it for positive thoughts on this. :?

Obviously not low enough if you didn't enjoy the movie.

Seconded. See it.

If this would have been hollywood production, I think that it would have been seriously fucked up by REPLACEing somekind of Jar Jar Binks shit or something... Luckily not. Seeit! NOW! :D

America's Most Wanted. I found it a little too straight forward, basically very simple storytelling. It was very long, and I was waiting for some kind of plot twist, that never came at all. Still good though, and Depp OWNS the role/character, as usual. On straight face value, pretty intense entertainment.

Gamer This has potential, not the best action film ever but bit different. Maybe with different editing and less trickery this could have been very serious and brutal action fest, now it looks bit like music video at times.

G.I. Joe This falls in Transformers category of movies but better I think, loads of everything and it's a small wonder if toy sales don't skyrocket after this... Sienna Miller as brunette, definetly hotter than Megan Fox :classic: And I'm pretty sure that sequel will follow.

If she looks like this the whole movie:

Then yes, she wins.

I watched Defiance last night - about the Jewish folks who fled to the desolate forests of various Slavic regions, to escape encampment and death during Nazi-rule.
It pulled you in from the get go - I really liked it from start to finish; it was pretty suspenseful as well. And very sad, but there were some really uplifting parts mixed in.

It's hard to pick a favorite role after seeing Liev Shreiber play a jewish insurgent, a hippie in drag, and Saber Tooth... much respect.

Yes until last minute where she wears prison uniform, but that's not too bad either

2001: A Space Odyssey -- Monumentally uninteresting. Approximately 2 hours of filler centered around a weak plot typical of literary and artistic incompetence. Its only appeal was its 'trippy' quality, which ran quite low considering the lumbering, sluggish pace of the film. I usually like science fiction fair enough, but this was just not my thing, I suppose.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas -- An absolute mindfuck. A crazy bunch of drug-fed misadventures with Johnny Depp acting his usual role of eccentricity. Not the best film I've ever seen, but it definitely entertained. The social commentary was laid on pretty thick, but overall, I thought it was a pretty great film.
