2012. (just got home)

God, I laughed.
That ol' Emmerich - he could contrive it so that the Sun goes hypernova and annihilates the entire Solar System, and still weave in some family values and a happy ending.

Watched Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal. Truly an amazing film experience. I suggest anybody with a serious interest in film checks it out, I found it pretty moving. Also, the scene with the flagellants is absolutely haunting. Definitely don't regret shelling out the cash for the Criterion edition.

The Road - My new favorite movie ever. No exceptions. Acting from Viggo and Kodi was the shit. That kid took the part of the book and put in on screen flawlessly. Hes amazing. The movie depresses the hell out of me and makes me feel horrible, but I love it. It does what it is supposed to do.

Funny, considering that it is impossible for the Sun to go hypernova. I'll bet it was action packed fun anyway.

Angels and Demons.

I was surprised at all the blasphemous overtones, and the fact that it somehow didn't get outlawed by the Catholic Church. I haven't read the book, so...hence the surprise. I thought it was very interesting though. Much better than The DaVinci Code imo. I may have to watch it again...I was a bit distracted during a few crucial parts. But, I got the overall gist. Some of it was pretty far-fetched though, so skeptics and cynics beware. I would, however, recommend it for anyone that loves thought provoking, dramatic action.
