I saw the video of Andy Richter on ABC hinting at a tour, and not but an hour ago I saw Conan's twitter post about tickets. I'm bummed there isn't going to be a show anywhere near me, but judging from your luck getting tickets I probably wouldn't have been able to get any myself!

It seems like most dates are all sold out now. I guess that is good for Conan!

I'm not sure if this is awesome or un-awesome or anything that can actually be categorized, but I'm pretty sure today was easily one of the strangest in my life so far. Pardon what seems like random statements, but it's really just been one of those days that you can't really collapse into solid paragraphs or even one train of thought.

After starting on just a few hours of sleep, I had a hell of a time trying to find a way to get a tire on my car reinflated so I could go home for my youngest brother's birthday.

Then y'know, I almost got sued (I can't really talk about it for reasons that I also can't really talk about.) but that ended up getting resolved. Which is damn good, considering my career path would be over if things weren't resolved in this matter.

My car that's nearly as old as I am (YEAH VEHICLES FROM THE EIGHTIES!) miraculously navigated a storm, hydroplaning every 5 feet, narrowly avoiding a scary collision with a bus going 5 miles over the speed limit, covering my vehicle with water to the point in which I couldn't see a damn thing.

Then I had to rescue my middle brother from an auto-shop because ironically, his car that's only 4 years old broke down in San Jose which is basically halfway between me in San Francisco and my hometown.

Of course the journey to save my brother was anything but typical. The street he was supposed to be on has 4 versions of the same street and none of the buildings have numbers that you can see from the road, and in order to make a left turn you have to go across 4 lanes of traffic.

While I spent the next hour cruising through a storm in stop and go traffic trying to find the mechanic because, you know, no one could tell me anything except the address, my car started to overheat and my battery started to get really pissed off at me. I also did 3 U-turns in the span of 5 minutes. I'm pretty proud of that one.

Seriously, if I could have a fight with Winchester Boulevard, I would. I mean it, let's throw down, Capcom style, because I am totally ready to dragon punch every square foot of that damn street.

Found my brother, drove home over a mountain, went through back roads that I grew up on as a kid, riding my bike up and down the street. Went to get my tire repaired for the whopping sum of ten dollars.

While we were getting my tire repaired a guy, maybe about my age, tried to sell us frozen steaks from a cardboard box while wearing a steak-selling uniform. "Do you fellas like to eat good?" I don't even feel like he was really there.

Then my brother came up with a concept album about a big guy in a little car in space who is a galactic door-to-door steak salesman. I'll be narrating. I look forward to this.

We went to pick up my brother a present, which is a new skatedeck and some bearings. I left my keys in the car, my lights on, my stereo and windshield wipers on. Apparently, I locked every door except the driver side backseat. That's insane. My day could've been a whole lot worse.

Had financial talks with my grandmother whom I affectionately have called Gigi since I was 2. We're Jews, so the financial talks are nothing new. I wish I were kidding. Drank a glass of red wine, and was totally blown away by the sincere collapse of time as I remember running around her house as a young child, and here I am drinking wine and telling her about what I want to do after a college. It's just too much.

Had some deep philosophical conversations with my middle brother and my stepdad about life, the universe, everything.

A few tears watching as my brother was opening presents because, well damnit, I was at the hospital the day he was born.

My grandmother had questions about modern slang that I tried to explain without laughing too hard. ("Why does everyone always laugh when I talk about the Teabaggers?")

My grandfather recently had a stroke, and it was heartbreaking to talk to him.

One of my friends from high school is addicted to meth. One of them is a stripper. Both of them are nuts about each other. Both are nuts.

I drove my middle brother home and he elaborated on his plans to skateboard across America. I really admire his guts.

I just kind of drove home in a silence.

I'm currently editing scripts for continuity for the broadcasting department at my school's award show I'm working on. Of course none of my work will probably be nominated, but I've kind of taken an outside approach to my university attendance, and this is the first semester that any of my scripts are being produced outside of the beginning video classes.

I guess the moral of the story is: honor your contracts, things aren't as bad as they seem, and Winchester Boulevard is probably raised from the depths of Hell.

Also, the Circle of Life, I guess.

PS: Also, I wish my Mom would just stop assuming all my childhood friends are gay. It's just weird.

If you're of college age and they aren't married yet, they probably are. Either that or their habit of putting other men's penises in their mouths. Moms are intuitive about this sort of thing.

Well, yeah. That's part of the upside of yesterday. It was all just a bit much for one day.

Sounds like a hell of a nerve-wracking adventure. Kudos for making it through all of that and seeming like you had a good time at your brother's birthday.

That sounds like a sincerely unusual day. Very excellent--I particularly liked this:

Seriously, if I could have a fight with Winchester Boulevard, I would. I mean it, let's throw down, Capcom style, because I am totally ready to dragon punch every square foot of that damn street.

Also, Billy may have a point...

Plain UN-awesome is probably understatement but heard today that my uncle has died in fire... Can't say that this wasn't coming in a way or another, him being an alcoholic and been drinking away last three weeks before this. Probably passed out on bed with cicarette....
