Shutter Island - Srsly good. Better than I thought it was gonna be. Sorry I waited so long to get around to seeing it! Essential viewing.

The Informant! - Odd little movie, this. Matt Damon is very good in it. So many twists and turns in the plot. When you think about it being based on a true story it's sort of brain-hurting.

Kick Ass - great fun! And that's all it's meant to be I think. Anyone looking for a life-altering experience will be disappointed, but if you want a bit of a laugh it's perfect. In all honesty the film should be called Hit Girl. She owns the whole shebang.

Just rewatched The Shining after studying up on some of the Subliminal messages and psychology used by Kubrick.

My God! I mean I loved the film beforehand but now it just blows my mind entirely.

And here's a question for ya.
When the elevator door opens and the blood rushes out it stalls for a second and you can just about see something fall out on to the floor on the bottom left.
*SPOILER LINE* I thought it was supposed to be a body maybe foreshadowing Jacks death but then myself and my mate remembered it was filmed on a miniature set. So unless they hired a a pixie to stuff in there it's unlikely.

Maybe just a random piece of debris but then again Kubrick shot about 80 takes for every scene and wouldn't have missed something falling into his view.

I dunno, like all the greats, the more answers you get the more questions you have.

Pandorum http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1188729/
kind of like a mix of Event Horizon and The Descent. I enjoyed it. Actually thought it was pretty cool. It's not the most original movie ever but it's a good Sci Fi/Horror flick and there haven't been too many good ones in recent history.

Män som hatar kvinnor (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1132620/
very good Swedish thriller with a good story and very good actors. I enjoyed it very much and didn't feel bored at any point in the movie.

I watched a weekend full of Jay Baruchel movies.

The Trotsky- Pretty cool. About some kid that thinks he is the re-incarnation of Leon Trotsky who starts a revolution at his high school.

Fanboys- Typical farce in Kevin Smith vein about Star Wars fans trying to obtain a copy of Episode 1 before it premiers. Funny nonetheless.

She's out of my league- More Kevin Smith style humor but with the typical "hot girl falls for dorky guy...they break up mid-movie, and get back together at the airport near the end" storyline. Those movies still warm my heart for some reason...but yeah, totally unoriginal.

Last week I managed to watch "Animal Farm"(1999) because of I'm great fan of G. Orwell's books. So I have to say this movie is good, but some of the animals creations are a bit fun.. Anyway, the plot is even particullary based on novel, I was proud of watching each new chapter. Some scenes like one of the last of them with Napoleon sitting and talking together with people are very inspiring and tells us the right meaning of the film.

Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins' Ball As sequels go, this wasn't that bad (actually this has nothing to do with first film). But still pretty average, although can't go wrong with Vinnie Jones.
Also 9 nice little sci-fi animation.

I Love You Phillip Morris

Now THIS is what Jim Carrey should be doing. He's absolutely brilliant in this movie. He should give up the dumb-ass slapstick comedy crap and do more roles like this. Briefly summarising, it's about gay conman Steven Jay Russell who becomes an expert at busting out of prison, usually so he can attempt to reunite with his boyfriend, Phillip Morris (played really well by Ewan McGregor)... I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. Really enjoyable watch and two really good performances from the main two actors. I'd recommend it. Image

District 9 and Avatar. Both of them totally blew me away.
Damn the US has improved hard on making movies. :D

Iron Man 2 Robert Downey is Iron Man as Hugh Jackman is Wolverine, no question about it. Mickey Rourke, excellent and Scarlett Johansson is just sweet. Obviously not quite as good as first but still pretty close, ending battle could have been more epic as now it was over before it started. But good fun still, one of my favorite characters from Marvel universe. And remember, if you go see it watch ending credits also to the end 'cause there is....
