Sasstacticism is still not seen. Next few days though... But tonight, I watched Lucky Number Slevin.

SO. FUCKING. AWESOME.

today I watched Zombieland again with a friend...we both had a blast. It was just as good as the first time. That definitely speaks for the movie.

After that we watched the french movie 'Martyrs' which is really tough shit to watch. I usually hate the torture porn crap but this goes way beyond it because the actors in this flick actually do a VERY good and believable job and the movie plays out way differently than other movies that go in a similar direction. I'm still not sure if I should love or hate that movie and I can't really believe I have watched it twice now and I'll probably be thinking about this movie for the next few days again but I assume that is the movie's purpose. It's definitely not enjoyable but it makes you think.

I finally marked off the movie Seven from my list of "movies I really should have watched years ago". Had me in the fetal position once the end credits started rolling. Love watching a movie that values the power of a believable, disturbing character over the hit-or-miss shock of abundant gore.

Man, I really can't abide even the thought of watching those torture porn movies. To each their own, but I just don't get it... I enjoyed the first Saw in a "this is ridiculous, but clever" kinda way, but that's about as far as I'd go, I think.

Zombieland, on the other hand! Hell yeah! I guess I like my violence with a sense of humour.

I agree...I have not even seen one of the Hostel movies and only have really seen the first Saw movie fully, a few sequels I have only seen partly on TV and didn't pay attention. Like I said, usually not my cup of tea. But Martyrs is really something else. I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone though because it is VERY unsettling.

The Hostel movies are actually quite good. Passable plots, and Hostel 2 had a fair amount of humor. Most horror flicks are slightly ridiculous anyway, so that's always kept in the back of my mind. Plus, you know...Eli Roth. :)

Just watched a movie called Martin & Orloff by the guys from the upright citizens brigade, and it was pretty funny. Not a classic by any means, but certainly worth watching.

Watched Unthinkable, and true to the word of Mr. Heit up thar, Samuel L does indeed steal the whole damn sasstastic show. The version I watched apparently had an "alternate ending", with a little added on, but even that barely scraped as good in my eyes. Aside from the weak finish it was a damn good watch. Certainly passed the time in work today quite nicely...
