I'm going to reiterate how great Apple Jack is, especially considering it's a dollar and an Xbox Live Indie Game.

it's a puzzle platformer unlike any other. Soothing acoustic guitar, goofy enemies, completely different stages (sometimes it's a zone with nothing but combat, sometimes skill-based platforming, sometimes a puzzle that has to be solved). 100 levels for 80 microsoft points, and you can turn into an apple.

Get it now, unless you don't have a heart.

Don't be deceived, the game gets wicked hard as it goes on.

10/10. My first 10/10 in any category of media for a long long time.

I have 100 spare MS points and I think I just might put them into this one, it looks pretty cool. And I love (almost) free shit.

I know I'm a little early, but Saints Row 3 will be epic.

Yeah, for me Saints Row made a fun sandbox game while the GTA series was veering towards a less "fun" sandbox game.
Saints Row 2 was miles ahead of GTA4 for me.
Yay another game to anticipate.. ouh but wait, it will release only in 2012?? bah humbug

They pulled out of e3 to do more work on the engine. Can I smell Geo Mod?

I agree. GTA4 was a good game, but it lacked the fun factor that previous GTA games (Like San Andreas, the damn king of sandbox games) had. Saints Row 2 put that fun factor back in and said "Go fucking nuts".

playing the Godfather 1 for xbox 360. The gameplay is just horrible....horrible. I know it's just a port of the last gen version but whoever came up with the shooting controls and the hand to hand combat controls should be slapped in the face. Total gamebreakers. I'm not complaining about the graphics at all since it's just a port. But why didn't they at least work on the controls back then when they ported the game. It would be suuuuch a cool game if the controls weren't so crappy. I can only hope Godfather 2 works better. Oh well, only gonna play it untill Halo Reach arrives anyways...

Wow, I really need MGS4.
Replaying MGS3 is fun, though.

Yeah, I think this is spot-on. I think there's room for the approach that GTA IV took too, but ultimately you need sandbox games that are just about fucking around and doing crazy things.

Crackdown 2 is pretty good for that, if you accept it as a game where there's not a lot of content, and just see it as a massive toybox that can accommodate 4 people at once. That game was single-handedly responsible for ruining my pristine Xbox Live rating. (People really don't like it when you spend half an hour blow them up in the helicopter, blowing up all the helicopters on the launch pad so they can't get back at you :D )

I watched the clip and it looks like a game I would love (my gaming nirvana is still Super Mario World on the SNES).

Once I get decent broadband up and running I will check this out if it's still around. Thanks for the tip!

So, like a total whore, I up and got Halo Reach. I'm actually enjoying it, so far. The characters interact nicely, the game play is Halo, so clean and simple, the graphics have been tweaked up quite nicely, and being able to customise your Spartan is a nice little touch. You have to play a lot for the credits, but for anyone who really digs teh game, I suppose that isn't a problem. I'm actaully kind of enjoying myself, and I rather loathe Halo, so I don't know what that says about me. Probably a masochist.

Yea, I was super skeptical about Halo Reach...until I played it.

The game looks a hundred times better than ODST and 3. The characters all have personalities. The space combat mission? Absolutely epic. No other word for it. Even if the physics for space combat aren't exactly 100% correct(I'm sure my friend will explain to me what's wrong later), it was still awesome.

Not to mention the ridiculous amount of content they stuffed in. The Firefight mode has a ton of new options that sound incredibly fun (Every player with infinite ammo rocket launchers anyone?) and the Forge editor can now actually EDIT maps.

Overall, I am impressed. I would not hesitate to say this is the best Halo game yet.

my copy of Halo: Reach will arrive tomorrow...finally! I knew it would probably take a bit longer as I pre-ordered it on Amazon.co.uk but I'm sure it's worth it because the english voice actors will sound much much better than the german ones, that I'm 100% sure about. Can't wait...can't wait....can't wait....

untill then I'll try to finish The Godfather

and next week it's time for Dead Rising 2 already which I pre-ordered today. So all zombies should eat as many brains as they can now because next week I'll fuckin' kill them all!
