It's not fair that Australia has to wait until freakin' November for this movie - I'm excited now! Patience...

Sweeney Todd (1936 version) - hadn't seen it before, and it was on TV tonight. A much different take on the tale than the Sodenheim version I was more accustomed to. For starters, it's not a musical.
It's more like the penny dreadful that originally told the story as a mad barber who kills for no reason beyond greed and lust. Plus Tod Slaughter (how appropriate) plays Sweeney as a creepy, cackling sadist, and seems to be a more natural fit for the character than Johnny Depp (even though I enjoyed his take as well).
I recommend it.

Argh, don't remind me!
The Expendables. What a pile of crap. Everyone knows Stallone can do better, and it kills me this mehtastic menagerie of forced hollywood testosterone without any of the oomph or fire of previous action movies can bury a gem like Scott Pilgrim.
I have not been this disappointed in a movie in a long long time. 2/10
The Men Who Stare At Goats was actually pretty disappointing as well, but by no means a bad movie. 6/10

Inception, quite good entertainment this one. Probably not the best damn movie ever, like some folks say, but definitely worth watching.

Beats of freedom (2010), documentary about Polish rock scene of the communist era. Poland was pretty much Land of Suck back then, there was censorship, everything was state owned and controlled, economy struggled with such monumental tasks as supplying decent amount of loo paper and rainbows were largely monochromatic. Movie focuses on 80s, when proper music scene was born - lots of kvlt & legendary bands (tons of punk and cold wave, mainly) emerged to play their music on shit quality instruments, write cryptic, metaphor heavy lyrics to circumvent censorship and avoid being beaten by militia. Full on underground. There's a little bit about more mainstream bands but fortunately not too much. Generally entertaining view with lots of cool music, interviews and assorted trivia.
Also there are some truly genuine emos there - people interviewed at festival in '83 were all depressed and pessimistic, because well, thing looked depressing and hopeless in early eighties. They'd probably cut themselves but it was pretty hard to buy a razor back then.

Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D
I wish I could describe how much I liked this movie!!
Matrix, Prison Break, Sons Of Anarchy, Pyramid Head (Silent Hill), Elfen Lied (anime), pure action, pure awesome to the maxness of freshness of the max!
It was just awesome.
I plan to see it again.
Milla is made of goodness!
Of win and bestness!
Go and see the movie, I tell you!
And in 3D, of course.
The best 3D movie I've seen so far, and this was already the fourth, I think.
Really well made, overall just a fantastic movie.
If you are into that kinda movies, of course ;D
I can't say anything more, it was just that awesome.
