Might be going to my first gig in the lonesome on Saturday, depending on whether my sister and her boyfriend can afford to come too.

I'll be seeing Sabaton (being supported by) Alestorm (being supported by) Thaurorod. I'm mainly going to see Thaurorod though. I found them on myspace a few years ago when they were just starting out, and I've followed them as they've grown, gotten signed, released a full length album, gone on their first international tour etc.

I managed to get myself onto the Guest List seens how I've become somewhat of an overseas band friend with them (though I only really talk to the keyboardist cus she seems to be the only one "on the net"). Not sure exactly that that entitles me to, probably just free entry, but its cool nonetheless.

Although the last train leaving is at 22:40, so I'll probably miss the end of the night. Or be stranded in Sheffield...

I have had an awakening regarding Meshuggah; it's not heavy music anymore, it's just really fucking groovy. Been listening to Catch, Obzen and Nothing over and over again this week! And I'm getting a taste for lyrics. Rational Gaze, it win the is. I lurb musical revelations. And Massive Attack. I love Massive Attack. I want to see them live again. *drool*
