Kevin Smith's "Evening Harder" and "Threevening" college tours, after seeing "An evening with Kevin Smith" some time ago.

7 or so hours of a fat guy talking about his dick. Awesome. :P

Definitely some Matrix-flavor (maybe too much... Mr. Smith anyone...?), The Thing with splitting dogs and Blade 2 also. It was pretty much what I was expecting it to be, and it seems that we haven't seen last of series yet... Milla was great, as was Ali Larter. Oh, 3D was kick ass this time, my last experience was Clash of the Titans and there 3D really sucked ass badly. Very enjoyable action this one.

Resident evil 3D, and it was exactly what I thought it would be. Kick-ass zombie action fest, nicely tied together with the previous movies. The beast with the hammeraxe was just
I'll agree with Sarai on the 3D bit, it worked really well mostly because it wasn't overdone.
Gonna watch the whole series from the beginning, then go see REA3D again. 8)

I did what any good husband would do and agreed to see a bit of a chick-flick the other day - Easy A.

I was surprised to find myself actually quite enjoying the movie. Sure, it has its flaws but it also has clever dialogue, and has Thomas Haden Church and Stanley Tucci being their excellent selves.

Number one drawcard though is Emma Stone in the lead role as Olive - the girl from Superbad and Zombieland. She's hot, funny, talented and has a great voice that makes me feel like a dirty old man when I listen to it. She should and probably will be a big star.

Also enjoyed the John Hughes references.

PS the Anvil movie rules.

Gaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *stumbles around tearing hair*

I enjoyed a doubel bill of Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll and Oil City Confidential. Two great films about two awesome bands form the time even before Anvil. And yes, 1975 did really exist.

The Social Network

Surprisingly good. Very well written. Tons and tons of dialogue, if you're not paying attention you'll get lost. Definitely not a normal college themed movie(which is not even near the main focus of it)

Definitely worth watching, even if it's not the 100% true story of Facebook.

Well Trejo wasnt the issue for me, mostly how the movie is written and edited.
Planet Terror was tons better for me, to give an example of a movie by the same guy, in the same category of movies.

Let Me In.
A pretty decent remake, and is respectful as hyped, but at times is too American for it's own good. What I liked about the Swedish film is that while you knew the setting, it didn't insist upon itself. Alfredson's film also seemed more pure, having an understated subtlety that allows you to connect more with the characters. Reeves has those elements, but not quite as strongly.
In its favor though, it makes its own movie out the source material, being similar enough to the original movie without being a total shot-by-shot retread. Owen and Abby's relationship is solid, and often moving. The dark and wintry settings are beautifully shot, some scenes are quite intense, and the music suits the settings without drawing too much attention. More blood was to be expected, but not unwelcome. Some CG shots, and the vampire monster face, are a bit over the top, however. The gender shot from the original is sadly missing here, but maybe it will be on the "unrated" DVD that will likely be released.
I still prefer the original film and book, but this film is worth seeing on its own merits.

the Alien Anthology on Blu-Ray
Seriously...I know a lot of people think Blu-Ray is pointless . But seeing Alien in such amazing quality made me jizz my pants approximately 12 times while watching it. It's amazing what they were able to get out of that movie in particular when it comes to picture quality, considering that the movie was made in the friggin' 70's.
But all 4 of them look better than ever. I'm very happy with this collection!

Seven...also on Blu-Ray
one of my most favorite movies of all time. I've seen that one over 10 times and again...was even more awesome on Blu-Ray. The movie is 15 years old but looked like it was made just yesterday.

I just have it on plain ol' DVD and think the same.
