EA just booked website domains for SSX deadly descent and SSX first descent, and that an awesome news to me. SSX Tricky was just so much fun to play. My one fear... a gimmicky Move/Kinect/waggle control scheme.

Picked up Starcraft 2 a few weeks ago and I've gotta say, online SC2 is like crack cocaine!

I played a lot of WarCraft 1 and 2, which was nigh on a hundred years ago, but missed the SC bandwagon. Glad I jumped on for SC2 - it's seemingly so simple but so nicely balanced that every game is unique and great fun. Until you lose.

It is impossible to be a good loser in SC2.

StarCraft is practically a real spectator sport in South Korea. If they take it that seriously (and are presumably that good at it), then I can understand how playing against Koreans might make you lose the will to live.

Yeah I was just about to say that. That looks like a recipe for RSI, and/or carpal tunnel. Those guys must be totally fucked by the time they get into their mid 30s.

^ some sick left hand arpeggio skillz there.

Completed Metro 2033. Linear as fuck, not a chance of straying off the path in the harsh world of un-interruptible scripted events, but attention to detail is impressive. Given you have the graphics settings maxed (and physx enabled) air is literary dense with detail - sparkling specks of dust, subtle, stringy smoke, shit flying around after explosions, visor of gas mask gradually covering with frost as filter is degrading and best volumetric lighting I've seen. Underground-command-centres in video games are done to death, but D6 level in Metro looks truly amazing. Plus very detailed NPCs models and impressive looking first-person cut scenes. People are bitching about crappy shooting mechanics but I think it was ok and generally game isn't overly difficult. Gotta admit stealth could be better though. All in all, nice trip through cold and dark places.

That being said, I'm happy I bought budget edition, regular price for 11 hours of barely replayable corridor shooter was kinda steep.

just read that Lionhead is working on a patch for Fable 3 that should fix some performance problems. Hopefully it will fix those damn slowdown problems because they get pretty annoying the further you get in that game. Actually Fable 3 was the last game I finished and it's great despite all the technical issues.
Next game I'm planning to play is Deadly Premonition...I did check out some videos and the graphics are pretty horrible but the story is supposed to be great and the characters are supposed to be pretty cool and crazy so I'm looking forward to play it.
I also want to get my hands on Donkey Kong Country Returns and Epic Mickey as soon as I can afford them, heh. Think I'll wait some more time before getting Black Ops. The fact that there's no Spec Ops mode made that decision easier. I'm kind of interested in Gran Tursimo 5, wonder if it is any good or if the long development wasn't really worth it after all.
