I don't celebrate Christmas, but I promised a certain Norwegian and a Dutchwoman (Edit: Not Biert) hand-drawn Cakemas cards instead.
One down, one to go. Though there's another one I fancy making as a surprise, but am unsure about whether it'd come across as/be a disrespectful gesture, which is not the aim at all, just a bit of creative fun. Hmm...We'll see. :/

Also, reading the lyrics for Ghost has made the wait 100x more unbearable. Grarghrarghle!

Same here. I've been reading interviews, interpreting song lyrics and blasting the shit out of my speakers with the new Atlas Air remix EP for the last two weeks. God damn it they were better live than SYL and that's saying something.

Edit: See? I quoted a month old post  obsessed by the band.

Can anybody recommend similar music? Mezzanine or 100th window -style. And I'm aware of Portishead.

Heligoland? :p Maybe Simple Things by Zero 7, though that's less trip hop and more jazz.

Go on. And you know neither Emmeke or me would take anything very srs. It's probably cool, unless you're sending your pubes or something.

Fine, pubes. I don't have any facial hair anyway.

I hate mosquitoes. They, plus the sun, the heat and dickheads, are the reasons I loathe summer.

Strange....you don't start summer on the equinox, but on the 1st. I didn't know that before.

It took me awhile to switch from recognizing the solstice/equinox as the start of seasons to the 1st (I live in Australia, but I'm not a native), but when in Rome.
Still, at least it has been raining steadily for the last week or so. Unfortunately, the blood suckers are loving it too, which is spoiling my no-sun fun.

I actually love winter. But then again, I've never come home to find my front door being blocked by snow.

I really want to get up and get stuff done today. But that's not gonna happen unless I get some tea to my system.

Better that than sunstroke and meter high wall of bugs. Plus clearing snow helps you exercise. That said, I haven't had to deal with real snow for 9 years (when I lived in the sticks), as winter in this country is just a cold wind and rainfall. You have to be in the mountains to get good frost and snow. Still, my favorite season.
