Religious extremists of any religion that would hurt others for their god(s) deserve to have their heads examined with a rusty drill - for starters.

How can you not be "racist" against them?..
They want me, my family and my friends ripped into pieces because we don't share the same thoughts as them and so they (They think) can get to heaven and screw virgins during a eternity.
Makes me so fucking angry.

Dire/Consequence. now.

I've always been under the impression that the more we fear or give in to hate, the more these assholes win. It's unfortunate what's going on, but let's remember that there's a hell of a lot more normal people on the planet than people who want to blow themselves up.

I am sorry that you feel this rage now, or worry about your friends and loved ones, it really does suck. That said... a person is more likely to die by some sort of accident than anything to do with terrorists, and we MUST continue our daily lives, because every time we give license for one of these folks with a self-inflated sense of personal worth to have a platform to dictate how we should respond to their threats, it gives license for it to keep happening.

Don't ignore it, but don't let it own you, please. If the Swedes are giving into this madness, my god, think about us Americans and how self-important and afraid we are.

So far people are ignoring it. Sweden have been a very peaceful place for years and we can't really understand the reality of war, terrorism ect. (i think)
I'm not afraid, I just don't want to get killed by a asshole.
Man i got so angry yesterday when i heard about the threats for the rest of this year.

The chances of you getting killed in a terrorist attack are so much smaller than getting run over by a bus. You can get enraged over how ignorant or brainwashed some people are, but in the end what good is it going to do other then worrying yourself sick? Going through life worrying about what might or might not kill you or the people you hold dear will only destroy you, so like Octillus said: don't let it own you.

The brother of one of my good friends (my sisters' boyfriend) died this morning. It's really sad.

He was doing really well in life. He had a masters degree in some form of economics/business/accounting, and had moved to the Cayman Islands where he had landed himself a job earning around £60,000 a year with only himself to support financially. I never met him, but from what I've heard of him, he sounded like a really decent person. My sister said "You could say he was an example of 'a perfect person'".

He was hit by a van and announced dead on arrival at the hospital. He was 26. Apparently the driver is in police custody on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving under the influence.

Can't imagine how hard this is for his family, especially at this time of year. A hollow christmas it will be for them all I'm sure, its sad :(

That so few of the forum regularati noticed the passing of Captain Beefheart.

I was very surprised as well, to be honest. Thought more people would've acknowledged the loss of one of music's greatest twisted geniuses.

That's one solution, I guess. But won't all that activity just make you hungrier.

I see what you did there. Clever, old man.

My left eye keeps twitching since last night, and it feels kinda sore.
It will slowly drive me to a life of insanity if it does not subside.

Well, California's a huge place, and if I remember right, ppinkham is from my hometown, and it's only just been moderately wet there over the last few days.
