I used to like going to games, they are not the most exciting games, the pace is usually slow, but it's a great time, if you have good friends.
Also the strike, in 93 or 94, I think, cut off one of our best years.

Despite my previous rants, yesterday's F1 race was actually really good.

Also finally got around to watching last week's MotoGP which was probably the easiest win for Lorenzo ever. Everybody in front fell off or ran into each other. Rossi's pace up until that point was surprisingly good though. Perhaps he'll be able to battle for victories after all this season.

God damn it Anaheim. You better win the next time I decide to stay awake till 4.00 am...

So the Canucks managed to win game 7, good for them! I'm sure Luongo will feel alot better now, hopefully he keeps up doign good work.

And tonight, game 7 between the Habs and Bruins, in Boston.
Habs have shown they can come back from difficult situation, while the Bruins are known for choking in the playoffs. It should be quite an interesting game, even though the Habs lineup is plagued by injuries.
Last night's game was great, but the reffing was extremely bad, and bad calls we're made on both teams, just glad the Canadiens came out with the win.

It's also very fun to watch 2 of the leagues best goalie in action, and the vast difference in their style.

G'wan the Canucks!! Fucking delighted. I was so worried about Chicago possibly going 4-0 in the last 4 games of the series and knock them out. Now if Tampa Bay knock the Shitsburgh Penguins out tonight I'll be a happy camper for the rest of the Playoffs.

Habs loss and that's no fun for me, but it was an extremely close series, with overall scoring equal for both teams, and 3 overtime games.

Kinda wish GSP would finish someone. I love him, he's definitely great; a real tactician and "martial artist"... but that's what separates him from Anderson Silva IMO, his lack of willingness to take risks and end fights properly since gaining the title. 5 non-knockouts/submissions in a row is starting to drag (not counting the BJ Penn fight, cus that one was a strange end, although I do give credit for how much he was able to break BJs 'will' - but BJ still threw in the towel way too hastily)

I wouldn't say he's in it to make money, but yeah he's definitely entitled to remain champion for as along as he can by any means necessary. That's just his 'game' - he's a master of strategy. It's why, whoever he's against, I always feel a sense of assurance that he won't lose. No matter how great any of his opponents' MMA records have been, I always tend to find myself going "pfft, GSP all the way. He'll know what to do".

Well what I meant by " making money" is that fighting in the UFC is his job, and to get the most money out of his job, he has to keep the title and keep winning. There is of course a competitive element to it, but you know, gotta pay the rent!
And as impressive as Silva as been, if GSP and Silva were to fight, I'd probably pick GSP as the winner.

Not sure the whole GSP - Silva thing appeals to me as much as it used to... I'm just not sure it'd be very exciting, really. And as good as GSP is, and I love GSP, there's nobody better than Silva. The guy is a fucking ass-kicking machine and I strongly doubt anyone currently on the UFC roster could beat him... I'd rather see Jon Jones fight Silva than I would GSP these days.

Also, in motorcycle news; British Superbikes and World Superbikes seasons are both into the swing of things now and are outdoing MotoGP left right and centre. I was indeed! Delighted, although I was hoping the Habs could knock the Bruins out. I dunno why but I don't like the Bruins at all. San Jose, for a team that seem to consistently bottle it whenever the playoffs roll around, are doing excellently this time around. If they get the Game 3 win tonight I reckon they'll sweep the Wings clean out of it on Friday night. Nik Lidstrom will still probably get the Norris because he is God on skates. Really hope he doesn't retire at the end of this season. Or any season. If I were to guess right now I'd say it's gonna be a Tampa Bay - Vancouver Stanley Cup Finals...

Well, I've read there are 14 new team entries (might be even more as the deadline has not yet passed) for the next season, when the new 1000cc rules will be in play. That should fill the grid up nicely, which has been very barren the past seasons. Even F1 has had more cars on the grid for several years now.

I also can't stand Lorenzo and was glad to see him get his ass kicked by Pedrosa last weekend in an otherwise uneventful race (apart from the first few laps where Simoncelli and Spies crashed out). And Dovi beating Rossi out of the last corner was a pretty cool move as well.
