Thor - I enjoyed it, though found the "romance" between him and Natalie Portman to be a bit "meh".
Still, good visuals and fight scenes, and a pretty decent story. Love how the Frost Giants look like something out of Wishmaster. The post credits scene is also with staying for. I agree, Anthony Hopkins was supreme as Odin. Overall 3/5.

Tron Legacy was not NEARLY as bad as people had made out. If you kept it in the original's context, I think it worked quite well. Not as engrossing or as well written as the first, but I quite liked it.

Also, Olivia Wilde? PHWOOOOOOOOAR!

Also an excellent reason to watch House. In which she's a lesbian. BI-WINNING!

Armageddon
2 hours of facepalm...just bad....no, not just bad...just very, very, very horrible.

The Town
pretty darn great movie. Didn't think Ben Affleck could pull something like that out of his butt but he certainly did a fine job with this movie! Reminded me of 'Heat' but it's not a rip off by any means. So I give this one my seal of approval.

Challenge: watch this back to back with Deep Impact.
By the end, you will feel that asteroids have assaulted your brains, and subsequently lowered your IQ.

I'm looking forward to Melancholia.

I remember at the time that Deep Impact actually seemed vaguely decent in comparison with that dog of a movie Armageddon.

Saw some of it again recently... yeah, nah... terrible.

I saw Thor last Thursday.
It's actually better than I expected (though I didn't expect anything from that movie).
But it's still not a great piece of modern cinema, a whole half of the movie is boring, Nathalie Portman is useless. But visually, it is quite nice

I agree with the notion that Natalie Portman is quite nice visually.

Deep Impact is pretty bad too but it's not nearly as brain crushing as Armageddon. But yeah, I wouldn't want to watch them back to back! I remember I saw Armageddon when it was in theaters. I was a teenager back then and all my friends were Bruce Willis fanboys and they were so pissed at me because I kept making bad comments about the movie while we were watching it.

Not movie but been watching Band of Brothers as I finally got the box. Seen it before but this just never gets old and commentary of veterans definitely brings even more value to this series. Loads of familiar faces in the cast too.

I saw Insidious over the weekend, and I thought it was awesome. Very "Poltergiest" like, and creepy as hell.

Funny thing is, I had never even heard of it... My wife and daughter saw an ad for it, and thought it looked cool. I'm not a big horror fan myself, and
I especially don't care much for gore, so this was a pleasant suprise. No gore at all, just super-natural stuff. I recently began going to art school, and I am
majoring in digital film making, and I thought this movie was very well done. I guess it had a very modest budget, but I didn't notice anything cheap about it
at all.

And the soundtrack was awesome, as well. And the composer actually plays the main demon! (Worthless nerd trivia) :)

I will anxiously await Bluerajas' review. I know she likes horror flicks. :D

Nice one. I picked the boxed set for cheap a while ago and look forward to watching it again. Excellent series.
