There was quite a bit of screen tearing or something like that. I don't know, strange visual hick-ups. Not sure if it was the game or the TV but that kinda bugged me. Anyways, considering how short this game is supposed to be I don't think I'd want to pay the full price for it. I'll either wait till it's cheaper over here or I'll order it in good old Great Britain. I'm sure it's a blast when you play it co-op with a buddy and that is mainly what I want it for.

It honestly isn't a short game at all, I think... I really dunno what people were on about. Some of the levels are quick and not as long as the first game but there are tons and tons of them. It's the delivery of the levels in Portal 2 that I think has people commenting on it negatively. It's not the same as the first game where it's just regimental traipsing through the various test chambers and yeah, the co-op is nearly worth the price of the game as it is. While I totally agree that a €50 is a bit too much (that's what it is new here, dunno about Germany), you can get it for way cheaper on Amazon and stuff and it's definitely worth a purchase. Or, rent it, actually! You'd get through it all in a weekend if you did nothing else for said weekend, and the game is so engrossing that that would definitely be the case. It's very, very difficult to stop playing once you've started. :P

it costs between 60 and 65 € here. That's why I'm thinking I may order it in the UK or I'll just wait till it's price drops here. I do want to own it so I probably won't rent it, heh.

Yowch! That's way too much alright... I got it for half that on Amazon! Also got a kick-ass trade in deal in the GameStop in town so I got €40 back when I traded it in and pre-ordered L.A. Noire, which will now only cost me €5 when it comes out. WINNING.

Ubisoft has finally ended the teasing about the new Assassin's Creed game aaaaaand

Image

Ezio's back! :D People are pissed but I'm not complaining at all! I love that character. It's called Revelations and it'll be Ezio's last appearance, set in Constantinople at the peak of the Ottoman Empire. Should get a lot of info about it at E3 and it's set for a November release.

The official blurb says:
"In Assassin’s Creed Revelations, master assassin Ezio Auditore walks in the footsteps of his legendary mentor, Altaïr, on a journey of discovery and revelation. It is a perilous path – one that will take Ezio to Constantinople, the heart of the Ottoman Empire, where a growing army of Templars threatens to destabilize the region."

I love elderly bad-ass characters. :D

So in the space of a month between the end of October and November there'll be Arkham City, Uncharted 3, Skyrim and now Assassin's Creed. What an EPIC end to the year.

so they'll delay the release of ME3 because want to make some changes as they want it to appeal to a larger audience. Well, it's official....I'm scared now.

^ That's great, means all the RPG elements are probably coming out of it, or being dulled down to ME2 standards.

Bought Mortal Kombat the other day, it's insane, but I am absolutely awful at it. The controls feel really unresponsive to me =/ and I'm sure it's quite obvious that the AI can be quite cheap sometimes. Probably going to trade it towards Brink, just because I don't want to frustrate myself too much with my inferiority at MK :P

And here's to hoping Brink delivers. The game has 2 possible outcomes, totally awesome or a complete flop.

nah, you just gotta practise a little! :) The last MK game I played the shit out of was MK4 so it's not like I wasn't totally out of practice myself but you'll eventually get the hang of it! And soon you'll pull off 10 hit combos or better ones without a problem! Unless you got it for your Xbox 360, then it would be hard to pull off any moves with the crappy d-pad.

That would explain a lot because I did get it for 360, lol.

A few times it seemed like the game took control of my character and moved them in the opposite direction of the enemy, as far as it could go. And it froze on me once...

I think I'll just trade it towards Brink. Considering I got MK super cheap, there's a chance I'll actually turn some kind of profit off of trading it in for Brink. (Best Buy Reward Zone FTW!)

oh it has frozen on me several times on the PS3 too. But I already invested between 80 and 90 hours into it, hehe. But most games these days freeze for no reason so that ain't a big deal. And I never had any problems with my characters moving on their own, hehe. I think it's the 360 gamepad. I'd always suggest people with both consoles not to buy ANY fighting games for the 360 unless you got a special gamepad for fighting games. Even that new silver 360 gamepad doesn't have a better d-pad. It still works as horrible as the old ones for fighting games.

I have the silver controller, I actually really like it compared to the old ones haha. But it really doesn't help with fighting games...

I do think the slight (very, very slight) improvement of the d-pad may help when it comes to switching between weapons in first person shooters, for example. But yeah, still no good for fighting games. And I actually was hoping that they get it right this time because I would not mind getting a fighting game for my ole 360. :D

edit:
speaking of controllers for the 360...now that new 360 controller from Razor on the other hand could be awesome. I have not had it in my hands yet but it seems to be better than the regular MS controllers in many aspects.

Pokemonz. The critter design this go around isn't bad, and it's fun to play with friends online and my brother, so, yeah pretty much that and MLB 2k11 these days.

Also, I dunno how many of you guys have seen a 3DS, but they're surprisingly dope, and if not for the lack of software and batterylife (surely to be fixed next model) I'd have one already.
