Much better than I was expecting. Kind of a similar idea as Inception, but not as drawn out. I'd recommend it if anyone was skeptical about possibly taking the time to watch it.

His acting in that that movie is some of the best I've ever seen! Although he did some pretty bad things in his lifetime, he captured innocence so well in that role. He's intentions were so genuine and pure. I wish you'd see that more in actual people, as opposed to fictional characters.

All the Harry Potter movies. The last one was EPIC - but my favorite is still The Prisoner of Azkaban. :3 (Am I the only one who like the epilogue? I guess so...)
Then I saw The Ledge, which was awesome, some film about someone making a amateur porn, which was incredibly boring and confusing, and uh... "Howl", when I was too tired to pay attention.

Last night I watched "From Dusk 'til Dawn." I know someone who loves it, so finally I watched it - eck! It was one of the stupidest movies I've ever seen. At this moment I cannot imagine anything so ridiculous. Harvey Keitel was great, but I hated seeing him in something so lame.

Not even the house band playing their dead body instruments?

Well Tonya, you'd probably do well to avoid the sequels. I liked From Dusk Till Dawn, and even thought the second one wasn't bad, just slightly below the original; but the third was a god-awful waste of time, with none of the charm the first one had.

Recently saw Sleeping Beauty, and Australian film about a girl (Emily Browning) in university who works odd jobs to make ends meet, has little to no ambition for her life, and ends up working in a brothel of sorts. Eventually she is promoted to be a "sleeping beauty", where she takes a drug that puts her out for hours, and while she is in this state, completely naked, the brothel's clients come in (all geriatric men, in fact) and do with her as they will, provided there is no penetration.
To say this film is bizarre is an understatement, but it manages not to become an exploitation piece, instead going for the arthouse approach of making such scenes unerotic. One of the old men is even sympathetic; of course, another is a complete bastard. This is a film to watch if you're in the mood for something gray and discomforting, but I knew that's what it was going to be, and I think it paid off.

No, JuZ, the dead body instrument thing wasn't funny to me, or whatever else it was supposed to be...funny, right? And, Bookwyrm, you can bet on it that I won't watch the sequels. Sleeping Beauty sounds interesting, every so often I like an artsy film. May have to find that one.

Last night watched Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, it's been a long time, LOVE those movies. If you haven't guessed, I'm doing a "Movies that have anything to do with Quentin Tarantino" weekend. :)

Ah Reservoir Dogs, what a movie!

Watched Close Encounters yesterday (yet again). Really should get it on Blu-Ray (assuming it's out).

Was that the Close Encounters that was on TV last night? I didn't see it. Well, I kinda did. Flicked through channels and saw the movie after it was halfway through. Not a good idea  . Still, it looked alright.

Recently, I've been watching Taxi Driver. Great movie. Robert De Niro, what a crazy man. I thought it was cool watching all the actors/actresses like Harvey Keitel and Jodie Foster. I mean, they were so young then.

Just got back from seeing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

Phenomenal ending to a very entertaining series. Very epic. The acting was great (at least from the veteran actors, the younger actors weren't too bad though), Alan Rickman was the scene stealer in this, I was nearly choked up by his performance. The effects were good. Mostly everything about it was good, it was a great finale.

Although, my main gripe with it was how at times it felt like it was rushing. You could probably expect something like this from a movie that is supposed to be one big climax but they still could have put a little more focus on some of the characters. The runtime is 130 minutes and most of the other films are around 140-150, what was wrong with making this one as long as the others? They could have at least given 15 minutes to the important characters that strangely had little screen time, especially the ones that ended up dying. Speaking of the ones that died, why were the deaths in this so "nonchalant"? Like as if they were portrayed as no big deal. Hell, there are a lot of other scenes that felt looked over. It was all part of the shorter runtime I'll bet. Why did this movie have to be so short? That's my main complaint. I got some other (smaller) complaints, like how some of the deaths of the major villainous characters were a little anti-climatic. Whilst they looked cool, they didn't have much of a major impact.

Despite this, I thought it was a very fitting finale. 9/10

X-Men: First Class

Pretty entertaining. The changes in some characters views (and which side they're actually on) seems to be done a bit stepwise rather than gradually, but other than that it holds up well. Definitely prefer this one over the Wolverine film.

Scott Pilgrim versus.
It was not that great, and it made me feel old.

Also comparing Wolverine to X-men first class, is like comparing a swift kick to the nuts to a BJ.
