I'm running a silicone mould of it this evening after I tidy up the studio. He probably won't entirely survive de-moulding, so I am hoping the casts look half decent. I didn't wanna really cast it but you know, I can't take a plasticine model to a gig an expect it to come home intact.

Does anybody have an anglepoise lamp around here ? (as there are many people from the UK)
I'm looking for a desk lamp that won't break 6 months after spending 100 or more € on one of those... My last desk lamp was 130€ (ok, half the price might have been for the bulb) and the switch broke barely one year later... the whole thing didn't look sturdy though despite the price.

Anglepoise are still built in the UK I think, and the brand seem to take pride in doing quality product. You never really know until you have it on your desk though.

I have one, I got it from IKEA though. So I think it's like a fake Swedish one, but I've had it for 10 years and it's been aaaaaite.

Light fixtures can be such bastards.
Needed to change the bulb in my bathroom, and it's similar to the one in the hall - a jar shape that is held by three metal clasps that hold from the inside. You have to push and pull to remove & replace, respectively.
The one in the hall can be a bitch, but for some reason the bathroom fixture is even cuntier. I swear I came close to breaking the damn thing trying to replace it, and I was being quite patient. Well, patient despite my repeated use of expletives.
Oh well, it's done.
