You are a very sick individual.

But I already knew that.

I just thought it would be nice personality touch. Mr Hero-and-Savior-of-the-Entire-Known-Galaxy, who likes it up the bum from a giant lizard.

Fear not, Mass Effect 3 on the Wii is supposedly going to be packaged with a dildotronic extension for the Wii remote, so sexual encounters can happen whenever you like with whoever you like in whatever hole you like!

Also, anyone here read the three Mass Effect novels that have been released? Are they worth bothering with?

Found my old n64 and re2. Started playing it again. It was scarier when I was 10 but it's still good

I've read the first 2, and they we're not that great, they do add a bit to the Mass Effect universe though.
My buddy who completed both games at least 6 times each really liked them though, so your mileage may vary.

All that stuff about the Turians reasoning behind the genophage is utter bullshit. The mental image of Krogans actually mating/giving birth to live young is too fucking gross to naturally occur.

Started playing Quake 3 courtesy of Trey Azagthoth and utter boredom. Not bad.

swervedriver wrote:Finished Mass Effect. Playing the same career now (reloading before the last mission) to finish up all the rest of the sidequests and wondering how the hell you'd get to Level 60. I've done everything apart from the last mission where I won't get more than 2 or 3 levels on top of the level 50 I am now. Perhaps I missed some citadel things in the beginning, but I can't imagine those making all the difference.

Dunno whether I should dive right into ME2 now or replay ME1 as a total bastard biotic instead of a good samaritan engineer.

yeah, you have to play the game at least twice with the same Shepard to reach level 60, like Dave said. But hey, there's nothing wrong with that.

Can't wait for ME3. Already spent 300 hours in the Mass Effect universe and next year I'll add another 150 :D

well, I started to play Deus Ex: Human Revolution and I think I might be too dumb for it  So far it's been more frustrating than enjoyable. I might be doing just about everything wrong, dunno. Like that mission where you have to get itno the morgue of the police station. It was way too hard to get down to the morgue for me personally without being detected and on the first floor, it seems like when the cops detect you you're basically dead because they all just run into your direction and shoot at you like there's no tomorrow and it only takes 2 - 3 seconds and you're dead. Even after upgrading the shields it does not take long to die. So I ended up killing them all just to finally get that mission behind me although I would have prefered not to kill anyone in there. Dunno, so far this has really been a weird and frustrating experience. I also don't really like the map system in the game and the way the side missions are displayed in your HUD. Oh well, might just not be a game for me or I'm really just too dumb for it.

^ Have you played the first Deus Ex? Since they dumbed down the user interface and inventory & item system for the second installment, I've been intrigued to see what approach they took for the newest one and how it compares to the original.
I took a quick peek at the Wikipedia entry for the Human Revolution and noticed the mention of the oh-so-fashionable health regeneration introduced to the game... :?

The trick is to use the cover mode...alllll the time :P And if it's anything like the previous ones, you're less likely to be seen if you're crouching. Just hide behind stuff, aim, and pop out, then pop them in the head. That's how I roll, anyway. My 10mm pistol has been my best friend so far. You might find it easier if you get the hacking upgrades, some of the computers and things control cameras etc that you can disable so you're less likely to get detected. There are also alternate ways to get to most places, so it pays to snoop around and see if there's a different entry point that's going to make things easier.

So far I find the game...great, but not perfect. I think they took too long to bring it out, the graphics are a bit outdated and the AI is just plain retarded sometimes... I don't like the map either, but I guess it sort of works. The design though, I think it was spot on. They paid attention to detail, that's for sure. I don't quite know what does it, but it really has the feel of the previous games. The story so far is a winner and all the classic elements are there. From what I'd heard about it, I thought I'd hate the augmentation system and the individual ammo per weapon, but I really have no qualms with that at all. Then again I have had minimal situations so far of desperately scrounging for ammo whilst being completely obliterated in a hail of bullets that were all too commonplace in the previous installments, haha. I find the game pretty similar to Invisible War, but I think this time after all the complaints about it being thinned out they tried to find a happy medium. There are more augmentation options than IW and I like the extra hacking element, instead of being frustrated because I could only get through one locked door for lack of multitools, you can explore pretty much anywhere if you have the right aug upgrade, and the hacking itself is a rather cute minigame. I really, really hated the idea of regenerative health, but it's rather slow and reeally doesn't make things easier. Does not take long at all for someone with a combat rifle to take you down. All the health replenishing items are in deserted areas too, which kinda defeats the point because if you're out of sight, by then your health will have regenerated anyway, so I just toss them.

Been playing the very first Half Life lately. Wow, I didn't realize how long it was to begin with. Anyway, its still fun and worth playing. Other than that, gameplaying for me has sort of drifted off. Until the end of year games are getting released, I'm just settling in with the older stuff.
