Talk about whatever you want to here, but stay correct

Something tells me I'll be going over my allotted download quota this month. :P

It's actually rather disturbing that the government see's it fit to encroach upon what people are 'allowed' to see. Like, I'm totally for the banning of child porn and sites that encourage folks to do harm to themselves and others but not to detrimental element of internet censorship/limiting information to such a degree. NOT JUST TALKING ABOUT PORN HERE. I'M GOING OFF ON A TANGENT. SHUT UP STEPH.

Surely the majority of UK parents aren't that fucking stupid enough to limit their kids internet use as they see fit, but they're taking that right away from them. But hey, we voted these OC tossers into parliament. *sigh*

I suppose we have to make our own porn now ;D

: x

But yeah... this really infuriates me. I'm honestly not that big on porn myself... but tell me ONE thing that's wrong about filming, photographing or otherwise documenting people having SEX? I'm not even entirely convinced it's harmful for children to see (it didn't harm me or anyone else I know), all though I can see how specific kinds could have bad influence. Overall.... if you have so much against children seeing it, well then... your problem, you solve it... and it's easily solved without involving the government.
Add porn workers to the list of unemployed in Britain! *RANTS*

Big Brother, yo.
The biggest thing that scares out of that whole article isn't so much the internet blocking (which is a big deal) but the government-monitored website where parents can go and report unseemly things. Because if many parents got their way the entire world would be censored, all in the name of the "innocent children."

I'm not a big fan of most of the shit Anonymous does, but if there was one thing they could hack and fuck with, it's be this.

I'm not into politics at all myself (I barely know the difference between right- and left-wing lol) but all this censoring and taxing "unhealthy" things grinds my gears. The government have decided that tobacco, alcohol and sweets are unhealthy, and therefore every citizen should suffer because some people can't moderate their intake. I find it ridiculous. Every person should be able for him/herself to decide what to do in their own time and what to spend their money on. Even if it ruins peoples' health. Stupid Norway.

This whole filter thing is a joke. Conroy will never get it through for long. Remember last time in '08, when everyone realised that the proposed filter was so easy to get around that they didn't even bother? It'll be the same thing as last time.
