Talk about whatever you want to here, but stay correct

The person(s) who decreed that steel toilets without lids, accompanied by the thinnest, flimsiest toilet paper on locking rollers, housed in rarely cleaned, squalled tiled rooms with sinks that don't even have soap dispensers (much less hot water) and with hand dryers that barely work, as suitable amenities for the general public deserve the most agonizing and humiliating punishment possible.

I won't go into details, but I was choiceless in facilities today, and proper ones rather than the aforementioned men's room at the train station would have made things so much easier considering what I had to use them for.

My other grandfather's funeral was the other day. I was still all the way over here in New York.

A friend from high school that I had lost touch with, Greg Melendy, had been fighting cancer for 8 years. He passed today. 25 years old.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Cody. *stretching my arms for a long-distance hug*

I'm sorry for your grandfather and Greg, Cody. You and the families related to them will be in my thoughts and big love sent your way.

sorry to hear all that, Cody. Sucks when several tragedies like that happen at the same time as if one isn't enough already. Keep your chin up!

First world problems.

It's payday, so I went to stock up on groceries for the next fortnight. Not much left after rent, electric and water bills, but I budgeted and found I had just enough.
Suddenly my savings card is declined at the counter. Odd, considering my purchases would leave me with a bit left over. So I walked to the ATM a few doors down and found my balance significantly lower than what it should be. Doing a quick calculation, I realized it was a direct debit that was supposed to come out a few days before (confirmed when I got home; had it done so on time, I would have been tighter on my budget).

So I ended up going back and removing a few items, leaving only the most necessary things (basically removing weekend breakfast and lunch items as well as healthy snacks for the rest of the week). To top it off, this caused me to miss my bus and forced me to walk home in a sudden downpour without an umbrella for 20 minutes. I know, shed a tear, right?

Oh well, at least my cabinets still had some food remaining that should help tide me over.

I have a cold. It's a really, really bad one. I just felt like whining before my lungs prevent me from whining anymore.

I hope not as well... have had a wee brush around the edges of that before and it wasn't fun. However, my temperature has now reduced and I'm still parked in front of the fire and the telly. No work tomorrow, I'll sleep in, it'll be good.

Get better soon. Sleep sounds good to me, actually (even though it's after 9am).

Happy new year to all you insane forum people. May it be better than the last one. :D

See Aleksi? Already way better :D

edit: I just realised this could be interpreted way wrong. 2012 almost killed me. Now I can't even remember half the things that depressed me. I'm sorry for all the friends and relatives we have lost. But it gets better again. Or something else just as corny like that.
