RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman.
One of the best of his generation.

I was made redundant last Friday. Yippee. Looking for a new job but only two people have responded. Got an interview with one and will get a yes/no tomorrow; the other just a pithy email advising they may contact for an interview, though if I don't hear from them in a week, to assume that they didn't care (in so many words).
Plus I also had to get a test to see if I'm diabetic recently. Not looking forward to those results (unless I'm negative - please).
And last but not least, my grandmother died in April. My mother, sisters and I all dropped everything to attend. I was even tasked as a pallbearer, which was sobering. While it was nice to see my family again (even chase off a coyote with my grandfather's malamute) the reasons for being there still cast a shadow. Hopefully if ever I do return to see them again, it will be for recreation only.
Hey, other than that, life is good.
