Alien takes awhile to grow on me. Info dump is pointless

I found Alien the easiest to grasp.

Whoa whoa whoa.... PLEASE tell me there will be preorders for (what a fantastic name for a release; pun definitely intended) The Hummer. I LOVE albums that lull me into a dreamscape. I CAN'T WAIT ANYMORE. I WANT THIS NEW SHIT NOW.

I'd rather hear one solo album from him than 10 from DTB.

Ouch... Wash your mouth with soap boy! :lol

Everything affiliated with Devin (solo or not) is just so genious to me.

I dunno. I suppose it was with Devin saying that Alien and Devlab were some sort of double act, like Synchestra and The Hummer will be.

It reminded me of Neurosis and Tribes of Neurot, where you had 2 albums - one the doomy metal monster "Times of Grace", the other an experimental ambient album "Grace". Play them together and you get one of the most insanely huge sounding albums ever!

I remember me and my mate Drew messing around with two stereo's changing the volumes and eq's on each for hours. Really cool when stoned!

Anyway Alien and Devlab together? All in all I wouldn't say it produces incredible results but then I guess they weren't written to go together! Info Dump and Devlab obviously work best because they're both noise, but the length of Skesis also allows for some interesting mixes.

If you're a total DTB/SYL geek like myself, you may feel compelled to have a go. And I must admit the idea of The Hummer being an official companion disc to Synchestra certainly would kick ass. Some sort of fan-only enhancement! Doubt that's what he's doing though

Hellhammer wrote:Dev! This is totally awesome news, I am glad that you are deciding to release another type of electronic record, and this one sounds so neat too. I know I will be one of the purchasers, so thank you very much for the news.

How does one man rule so much? :D
I'm pretty happy with this news, whatever Dev brings out ill buy because whatever he makes is fucking awesome in my books. And this new album is a example of his extreme awesomeness.
