Actually, it makes me want to purchase it more. Then again, I grew up on radio, where all the music was horrible quality. It never prevented me from buying an album I liked when I could afford it. Most of my early life I listened to music recorded off the radio or a copy from a tape of a tape of a tape. Sometimes I'd hold a tape recorder up to the TV and record a song from a video on MTV. It would never ruin the buying experience for me, because nothing surpasses truly owning something you love, in the way it was meant to be presented. If I like something, I want it in it's best form. Only because he knows that it will be leaked eventually anyways, so why not be the one who controls the leak? He knows he'll get the money from the fans who will support and the ones who won't buy it but will download it will download it either when it is leaked or when it is released.
