The place to speak about Dev's current projects, and everything yet to come

I don't see how some songs can be underrated, when I rarely even see any ratings for Devin's stuff

But why should you rate them, they are good regardless whether they've been rated or not ;)

Well, given that there is obviously plenty of discussion on this forum about Devin's music, there are always going to be some songs that are overwhelmingly popular. Earth Day is an example.

The point of this thread is to highlight tracks that are brilliant but for whatever reason don't seem to attract the widespread acclaim that others do. Universal from the Terria Digi-Pack is the example I put forward.

For my money, as far as underrated Devy songs go, Funeral would have to be right up there as one of my favourite songs that never seems to get a mention.

I love the really long intro, when it builds up and the drums kick in I just die every time. Such a supremely sad song. Highly underrated.

Absolutely, I was just going to mention it, a beautiful song. It especially means a lot to me since my dad's funeral a couple of years ago: we stepped out of the chapel, and as if on cue it started raining...

Others for me would include Material, Stagnant, The Fluke (Especially the the middle eight flowing into the multi-tracked vocal part - glorious!), Kingdom & I totally agree about sister too: the acoustic version is incredible.

My favourite 30-odd mins of Dev material starts with Funeral and continues to the end of Ocean Machine. Amazing stuff.

Processional has already been mentioned but I think it's just so engrossing, especially during "welcome home". And anyone who has heard it blazed out of their minds knows how well it hits the spot....sigh, I miss smoking pot.

Acually, when you conpare it to all of music, all of his songs are underrated, all you hear today is Slipknot and MCR...No Devin anywhere.

The whole final section of Ocean Machine (Funeral etc etc) is the most amazing music I have ever heard in my life. Without question. Dunno if it's "underrated" by fans though.

I've always loved the FLUKE from Terria and I don't see it mentioned very often. I think it's brilliant and always leaves me smiling.

Man. From the Ass-Sordid Demos and the Infinity bonus track.

Come on! That song is one of Dev's best, easily. It's hard, it's aggressive, it's percussive, it's got good lyrics. It rocks my cock!!!

And yet, I rarely hear it mentioned.

Ocean Machines is a kick ass song, as well. But, Man is just downright hot.

It's good to see a fella that can admit to sampling a bit of Man from time to time. You are who you are and I'm ok with that.

Ok, you've talked me into it. *gives Ass Sordid I a spin*

Hmmm... good song, that. Red Tomorrow's pretty good too.
