Infinity?

It just seems to me that of all of Devin's work, Infinity is the most unique, in that it could only have been created by Devin Townsend and no other. I love Terria soooooooo much but Infinity just feels that littlest bit more genius to me. It just reeks of on-the-edge brilliance.

But I guess what it all comes down to is a personal opinion thing. I really dig on the feel of that album, it just has this intense feel that resonates so well with me. Plus it's the fuckin hugest goddamn album I've ever heard in my life.

And yeah, 'Dynamics', good point

Hmm... I haven't heard all of Devin's work, but I'll rate what I have heard.

i think that puts things in pretty good relative perspective, with synchestra at 100, and devlab at 1. and like asparagusduck, the christeen ep should be higher, but it's too short.

Synchresta is good, but after hearing it a bunch there's just something about it that doesn't hit me like alot of the others, you know? It just doesn't have that timeless, unique vibe that I hear in OM Infinity and Terria. A couple songs on it I really love though.

BTW Greg (Reason), what do you like so much about Infinity ?

I had my Infinity period in my 2-3 intensive years of listening to Devin's music, but if it has its good moment, I really don't find it as good as OM.
I like Ants, Wild Colonial Boy, Unity and Noisy Pink Bubbles the most, but on the other hand I rarely listen to songs like Christeen (heard it to much I think), War for some reason, Bad Devil is great but it's one of the catchy songs and in the end can't beat the epics IMO... Yeah I think it lacks a powerful epic. I may be pure genius of weridness at first (Ants !) but in the end the vibe all along the album is not as strong as on most of the others for me. Oh well, just music, tastes, mood, opinions and blah^^

I think some just don't really get it. Simple as that.

Truth and Dynamics are the musical peaks on that album IMO.
