I never really listened to that EKO project before. is it Devin or Devin working with another project.
I know it's alot different from his usual work though.

My List (designed to fit under 74 minutes for a regular CD):

Truth
Christeen
Bad Devil
Life
Deep Peace
Canada
Down and Under
Random Analysis
Deadhead
Funeral
Hypergeek
Triumph
Thing Beyond Things

You need to fade Funeral into Hypergeek just right and then fade Triumph down just at the end. Other than that it's good to go.

Interesting how that Deep Peace - Canada - Down and Under part is just so mandatory and just has to be kept together... if I had more space I'd include Earth Day and The Fluke too, even though that's five tracks from Terria in a row. But, have five better tracks ever been put back-to-back on any record ever?

I think that disc is GREAT! Very soothing to me. My only complaint is that it's so short. 8)

I agree. Even my brother liked it, and he usually only likes U2.

Interesting topic. I still have the mix CD I burned from the songs I downloaded from here when I was first getting into Devin's music. Well, if you actually browse HevyDevy.com, you know what songs are on it already :P

Recently I made a couple of compilation CDs for my brother, of Clutch & Porcupine Tree - and I made two Devy compilations as well: a solo CD and a Strapping CD. Just to give him a bit of a chronological overview, really.

Life
Regulator
Funeral
Sit in the Mountain
Truth
Christeen
Ants
Dynamics
Kingdom
Mountain
The Fluke
Random Analysis
Suicide
Vampira
Notes From Africa

S.Y.L.
In The Rainy Season
Velvet Kevorkian
All Hail The New Flesh
Oh My Fucking God
Detox
AAA
Centipede
Dire / Consequence
Aftermath
Devour
Skeksis
Love?
Shine
Zen

By the way, if anyone feels like throwing all those Devy songs from the first list onto a CD, people who are really paying attention will notice that they don't fit... unless you trim off the ends of Mountain (5:20) and Fluke (5:12).

Enjoy.

I wonder what's the most accessible mix of dev songs to put on a best of for people that have never heard any dtb/syl before.. I also wonder what sort of track listing for a "best of" cd dev would pick of his own music;s

You all should hear my SYL mix. I basically had to soundforge certain songs to make things chain together perefectly, but its the best mix CD ever.

For example...soundforge "Rainy Season" and the first 10 seconds of "goat" together.....make one track...then take "Love?" right when the guitar starts...eidt both so when you burn the CD there is no gaps....WALLA! perfect fit.....Also Relentless and We Ride is flawless together also.

DTB stuff..I've done also...so much fun to mix this shit!
