It's so cool it's almost done i can't wait to hear the other songs on the cd. As far as the credits to the songs go for the "october" song could you just put by "suicide safari" because i wrote it with my friend, he'd probably get mad at me and start cryin and all if it said "october - earworm/suicide safari", .

Silent Safari? Where the heck did I get that from anyway?!?!?

Suicide Safari it is!

Am just finishing the FINAL mix of the HDAS project, finally. I have already made a test mix to burn to CD to try a few things, and it sounded great.

A web page with extra info, as Yanko mentioned, is something that we may well do. I am not going to worry about it at the moment though as I still want concentrate on the actual CD...which is nearly finished.

I have also moved on to the artwork stage. I have decided to purchase a printer and label-maker for this so that I can make the most presentable item that I can. The artwork will be based on one or two of my drawings and will most likely be fairly simple but also fairly neat. Probably black and white to save on printing costs though. The cover will fold open into a small booklet that should hopefully detail the contents of the album and have some other rambling nonsense. The case will be a slim one also.

Just wait till you hear Josiah Tobin's track...totally awesome!

So, the final track listing of the HevyDevyAllStars album is:

1)Intro - Blazingmonga
2) Mouth For War (Pantera Cover) - Atomic Ants (Olive?)
3) Humid Skies Of Darkness - Vortech (Torniojaws)
4) October - Earworm/Suicide Safari
5) "Interlude" - Gozu
6) There's A Cup Behind You On The Thing - Stewart "Stewbacca" Horsfield and Pat "Patty Pat" Wiblin (via Mo)
7) Deus Ex Machina - Silentist (TeamJonny)
8) When Oceans Switch - Danra
9) Dark light Over Blue Skies - Shopping Kart (NotSoSilentPete)
10) The Cosmos - Greg Reason
11) Adrift - Dreamwalker (A-Daamage)
12) Cheese Based Mongalude - Blazingmonga
13) Compact - Terraformer
14) The Triangular Murders of Rue St. Claire - Yanko
15) "They're not even a real country, anyway" - Blazingmonga
16) Canada (Marimba Version) - Armheadmcgee
17) Moth Wing Mountain - Josiah Tobin

More news as it comes!

Dude, you shouldn't use labels. CDs with labels will get stuck in some players, especially car systems. You should look into one of these:

http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/cons ... d=58654761

I have an R200 (basically the same thing), and use Memorex printable CDs. It works SO much better than labels. You just have to let them dry for 24 hours before using them. Also, these printers are very cheap and work great, plus the 6-color process gives you a little more depth and detail. I purchased my R200 at Best Buy, but I've seen them in many other stores such as OfficeMax and Office Depot. I highly recommend checking them out.

Hmm....interesting. I will investigate this more.

Yeah, good idea.

I have an Epson R310 and it does quite a good job.
Labels can end up being a costly investment if they detach themselves.

Well, if I can get something like this cheaply then I will. I need a printer anyway.

Are the printable-onable discs any more expensive? I'd need to get my mittens on a fair few of those also.

Be afraid:

That's what the finished thing looks like....just wait till you hear it! Expect lots of rock, plenty of roll, a fair dose of metal...and quite a few strange noises (sorry about those!).

I have checked a few prices on a CD printer and will probably invest in something in the next week or so. It is going to be far from cheap, but what the heck...its about time I wasted some money!

Only thing left as far as the final product is concerned is Yanko's remix...then I am good to go!!

Woo!

NOW I sleep.

I believe they were a couple bucks more than the regular CDRs, but you'd end up paying much more for CDRs + labels + labelmaker anyway, so it's really worth it, and the Memorexes are really nice. The Epson R220 printer is only $90.00, which is the list price on their site, so it's probably around $80.00 in stores. Here's a link with info, price, and online purchase option for the discs:

Okay, instead of clicking the "Buy Now" button, click the "Where To Buy" button and it will give you a list of addresses to choose from, Amazon probably being your best bet. Hope that helps.

I can't see the R220 printer anywhere in the UK for less than about £65. Some places advertise it for less, but the price is similar when taking delivery costs into account.

Have seen a spindle of 100 printable discs for £13, which is not bad at least.

Might get all this today, depends how guilty I feel about using most of my overdraft.

(probably not very guilty!)

On your recommendation I bought an R220 today, and so far it seems really good. I have just printed a photo and it looks amazing! The whole printer shakes from side to side while printing...I think I need to anchor it somehow. Doesnt seem to stop it from printing well anyway.

Havent found any printable CDRs yet, there was none in the shop I went to. If I cant find any locally then they seem easy enough to get online (even play.com sells this stuff now).

Woo!

Yah, I don't think the printable CDs are in high demand. When I bought mine from Best Buy, there were only two or three spindles in the whole store.

As for the printer, I have mine sitting on my carpeted floor, so it doesn't move a millimeter (decided to speak non-US units to appease you Europeans with your globally standardized units so you can begin your quiet coup of the world). It's also quieter sitting on a carpeted floor. But, my ears are ringing from the concert tonight and I have an interview with a local design firm tomorrow, so I better get some shut-eye. Good night and go your way in safety.
