On your recommendation I bought an R220 today, and so far it seems really good. I have just printed a photo and it looks amazing! The whole printer shakes from side to side while printing...I think I need to anchor it somehow. Doesnt seem to stop it from printing well anyway.

massive quakes in Japan is NOT that its landmass is located near a
seismic active crack. It's cause of the many R220 users in Nippon!
Every now and then, when too many Epson 220 users start to print
at the same time, the vibrations slowly build up, ending in a massive
erathquake! This will go on until the electricity breaks away! Once
the thousands of 220s have been cut from their powersource and
stop shaking the swinging slowly dies away! Epson has been trying
to deny the danger caused by this vicious product for years now,
but finally we've uncovered the truth!

Oh, another thing...I bought an ESP Ltd. 607B today, but after 8
hours of digging into it, I think I will return it and get a nice 5-string
bass in exchange. The SC607B is a nice guitar, but I just realized
that I got SO used to play guitars with trems, that I CAN'T switch to
solid bridge guitars. I don't use the trem excessively, just for subtle
bendings, tremolos and vibratos that spice up the tone and make
the play come more alive. So ALL solid bridge guitars sound pretty
"lifeless" to me when I play them...
So, for the 5-string bass...Bassists out there! Any suggestions?
The price shouldn't exceed 1000 Euros. I was thinking about
getting an Ibanez SR505 BM Brown Mahagony.

1000 Euros equates to what in Aussie Dollars? I'll find out... $1664 Australian. Nice. You could get an Ibanez BTB 455QM. I've got one and they have a HUGE range of different sounds. Everything from Jaco Pastorius to Grindcore (it's funny because I have used my bass on both those genres!) Give that a try.

Sigh...I'm really sorry about returning the SC-607B.
A nice guitar, indeed. Though, not my cup of tea.
I could get used to the seventh string an the wider
neck without problems, but, as I said before, I just
realized that NEED a trem...to do all the subtle things
I'm USED to do. I don't even have a bar attached,
I vibrate and bend with my palm, pressing it onto the
far-out end the bridge (onto the fine-tuner-screws to
be exactly). I've been developing this technique over
the years and it's become an essential part of my
sound and playing style. The effort is minimal,
but the result in tone and feel is huge!
I just can't get along with guitars that have fixed bridges.
And another reason why I'll trade the SC-607B in:
My old Ibanez S470 KNT sounds almost TWICE as heavy,
warm and massive as the SC607B! Crazy! It's a standard
scale 6 string (a BEAUTY! Just pure wood (mahogany), that
has darkened over the years and looks silky and wonderful)
equipped with a Dimarzio Drop6 baritone humbucker in the
bridge, a Fender Texas Special in the middle and a Dimario
Evolution2 humbucker in the neck position. Bolt on Wizard 2
neck. Lol...ALL specs (except for the pickups) SCREAM for a
thin sound and quick fading sustain. Bolt on neck, ultrathin
body, Floyd Rose trem...but my lady gives the middlefinger
to these facts. She's a friggin goddamn SOUNDMACHINE!

Hi dude! Good to see you posting here! And yes, it is good that finally we have uncovered the truth about the rogue 220s. Seriously, I think if I put this printer on my shelf it will fly off it. I imagine that if I use it too much my flat will probably collapse into the street.

I have totally finished the mix, I think. Have been listening to the 'complete' version over the last few days, and I am pretty happy with it.

Printable CDs should arrive tomorrow hopefully. I already have a pretty good idea about the artwork. I just need to get some cases and then it will be pretty much finished.

Though this week I have run out of money. And that sucks.

I'm CHRONICALLY broke...

I only was able to buy the new guitar 'cause my father offered to
finance it for me (thx again, dad )...I didn't have to pay
cash. They'll book off a monthly fee off my fathers bank account.
I hope this won't cause too much trouble when trying to return it
(I'll visit my dealer tomorrow), since the whole process already
has been started. But heck, the rules say I have a 14 days limit
to return an item without giving any reasons, so why should an
item bought on financiation be an exception...
It won't be even necessary to cancel the transfer, for I'm planning
to get a nice 5 string bass in exchange for the SC-607B. All that
would have to be altered is the items name and the sum to be paid.
The Ibanez bass I choose only costs 670 Euros (the SC-607B
was 1047 Euros). I might have to pay a small fee for the additional
work, but that's okay for me. My dealer is quite tolerant, and he still
owes me one for the large amount of trouble that the repair of my
amp caused. So I think it'll be possible without too much
"couldn't you have thought of that EARILIER?!"- and paperwork-shit...

I am listening to a CDR right now of the above mix. I have normalised the audio such that all tracks are of approximate volume. However, given that all tracks sound very different with different instruments, mixing and styles the overall sound varies quite a lot. I tried to take advantage of this and make it all flow as smoothly as possible. I guess it will be up to you guys to tell me if I managed or not! Oh well, that has been half the fun of it.

So basically right now I am sitting (metaphorically) on the finished album. Finally! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

I will pick up printable discs tomorrow. I can then make the buggers! Just need cases which I will pick up maybe next week. Alternatively I have a stash of 20+ recycled cases (old demo discs, etc) that I could use if I cleaned them up a bit. Maybe that could be the green option ha.

Oh, one other final (err mostly final) thing: While listening to the CD audio through my computer using Winamp, I was unable to get the tracks to flow seamlessly. Even with using my 'gapless audio' plugin, audio was being missed between tracks. However, this is definitely not the case when you play the CD in a CD player or listen to MP3s of the same audio. Maybe this is not a problem in newer computers, but I just wanted to point this out. As I put a lot of effort into the transitions between tracks, it will sound a bit odd if you are missing audio. Take heed!

PS: Monga's final thought: Don't drink orange juice after eating mints. It's neither big nor clever and will surely sicken you.

I'd love to answer a bunch of strange questions for the bio thingy; then again I have far too much time on my hands. I'm not sure where you could host it... Perhaps if someone has some webspace, they could help you out? Just a simple page with credits and bios and such...
