I have always heard alot about this band (Garm from Ulver loves them I know), so i finally got around to picking up some of their stuff....and was blown away! Probably some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard.... Any opinions?

Amazing band. Everything they've done is gold! Do check out Brendan Perry's one solo album, and all of Lisa Gerrard's solo work (she just released her latest solo album). All are well worth the money.

I still prefer Sisters Of Mercy's Floodland over ANY other "goth" album, but Dead Can Dance are quite good indeed.

They do some of the solo stuff on the DCD dvd....really great. I have only heard "The Mirror Pool" by Lisa Gerrard and man, her vocals are just insane...! I like the little I have heard from Perry...need to get that album yeah..

Great band, absolutely. My personal favourites are Spleen and Ideal, Within the Realm of a Dying Sun, The Serpent's Egg and Aion.

Just a hint for you DCD fans, you should check out an Austrian band called Dargaard. Especially the album In Nomine Aeternitatis (2000). You'll probably love it dearly :) If you are impatient, listen to the song "Only the Blind Can See". It pretty much wraps up the entire music 8)

Dead Can Dance is one of my biggest influences. Lisa Gerrard is one of the most amazing singers ive ever heard.

Id recommend her solo stuff too.

Saw DCD at Radio City Music Hall in 2005. One of the coolest concerts ever.

Have all their stuff.

Also a fan of their "brother band" The Tea Party
