I'm just thinking, if you can finger-style, pick, throw in bass harmonics, bass chords, slides, use Geddy's 'noisy bast-ud,' (sigh, slap) tap etc. that's going to make you a really well-rounded bass player. And that's ideal - people will want you! As much as people ignore bass players, good ones are hard to come by, and it's a good idea to keep 'em around
