No FUCKING way!!
You must've had a nice little stash of cash hanging around didn't you? 8)

How do you like it? That's an interesting choice, it seems that people often overlook the usefulness and awesomeness of ring modulators. I don't see them around to often, unless I'm just missing it. :?

When I have any money at all - A MoogerFooger Bass MuRF is on the top of my shopping list. My quest is to get some good use out of it, but in moderation, and without using it to sound funky (unless it adds to a song and is seriously called for; I guess then I could get a little groove on.) But I really hate funk, and the MuRF would serve well for funk players. I hope to use it more to sound badass rather than to sound Bootsy.

Have a listen people! Click on the samples at the bottom of the page :D You'll love it.

Awesome! I'm glad you like it. Very underrated. Seems like one of those things where you're playing, you're playing... then switch it on, and people are like 'whoa! where did that come from?' Like a bag of tricks. Did that make any sense? :?
Oh they're all expensive though. Now that I've got a job, that MuRF will be MINE!!!

Sweet Swerve. Good taste man, good taste. King's X = one of the best bands people have never heard of. My brother said they lost some of their fan base when Pinnick came out

And I'm putting this bass MuRF link back up again, in case anyone didn't hear it. :? Seriously guys. It's AWESOME.

I've only learned about them a few years back and really got into them about a year ago. Saw them live a few months ago, got to talk a little with all of them afterwards and been hooked from there on. They really are the best band you'll never know, or something along those lines. As for the whole coming out deal, I don't get the big fuss... look at the popularity of Freddie Mercury, George Michael, Elton John, etc etc. Like being gay makes you any less of an artist. :?

edit- Yeah, that MuRF thing sounds pretty cool, but I can imagine having a hard time fitting into a song. Kinda like the step-type effect in Queen's "Headlong". I had that effect on my old Zoom pedal but never used it other than for schnitzengiggles. :P

Cool! I saw them not too long ago, but did not meet them. They were the opening band for another band that was shit. WTF? Why were they opening?

Was Pinnick a cool guy? And how tall is he actually? He looks really tall on stage :o But really, I only want to hear him, Jeff Ament, and some other exceptions play on a 8/12 string bass. He rules it.

Definitely, the MuRF would have to be an exercise in self-restraint. Because it sounds so damn awesome, but you gotta keep it fresh, ya know? I like to think of it as a phaser sound, but on crack, and with more filters.

Seven of its 8 filters are resonant filters voiced at lower frequencies, and at the low end, we've added a 6 dB/octave shelving filter. With a cutoff frequency of 110 Hz, it adds extra response where bass players need it most.

I mean... what the shit!? That is a lot of filters!
There are ways to work it in, my friend. There are ways 8) OK, I'll stop talking about this Moogerfooger until I actually have one

Yeah he's cool, they all are. The 2 people I was going to go with couldn't be there because one was sick and wasn't allowed to drive, and the other was supposed tag along with him. I had their tickets and asked for them to sign them, and add a little personal message. So afterwards I got to give my friends their tickets back, which were now signed with "Get better!" and "Where the fuck were you!?" messages from the band. :D

Pinnick is quite tall, but he also wears these enormous plateau boots. Also, his arms and legs are disproportionally long, making his torso look so small. :P Advantage is that he's a monster on bass because of it, hehe. That 12-string he uses to play "Pray" is amazing.

It was cheap so I wasn't expecting too much, but it does sound real nice. The pickups are not great (thinking about swapping them for duncans, perhaps), but that solid-body Les Paul heaviness vibe is definitely there!

HA! Suckas missed out! At least you were nice enough to get tickets signed for them. Yeah dude has those tall man-boots. I wish that when I saw them, I wasn't distracted by the one guy who makes himself obnoxious for any number of reasons: too drunk to stand, singing too loudly in your ear, spilling drinks on you, stepping on your toes, trying to mosh when it's not a moshing crowd. There's always one of "those guys"

I bought Physicist today. Yeah I hadn't heard it, or owned it until today. I'm glad I've got it now 8)
