Lots of double kick, lots of drums, lots of electronic rhythms, choirs, keys, tons of guitars, mid tempo, epic layers, lots of male vox (me) lots of female vox (Anneke), positive lyrics, strong themes, heavy, heavy, heavy high energy.

Some of it is like Ocean Machine, but not dark. Some of it is like Physicist, but not bleak.

I put all my production skills in there, some clever bits production wise, lots of high tech sounds in the mix.

Simple arrangements, with complex layers. Some straight ahead high energy rock with bizzaro production.

Cheerleaders and partys.

Ok....I've graduated from rabies to cujo.....this is awesome news. This sounds like it may be the coolest album out of all of them. I dunno....I LOVE LOVE LOVE the chaos, but damn. Dev, you are the melody master. Maybe a good description would be "all the best parts of the solo albums". My fave OM song is Hide Nowhere....and fave Physicist song is Material. If I get a whole albums worth of that, I may as well plan my funeral cuz I can just die happy then. Wait, then I won't be able to hear it 8787897890790 times in a row!

I wonder if by high tech sounds you mean something like the end of Coast...when the elec. drums start coming in under the mix? Brilliant stuff.

yeah, just wait man...gloves are off.

I'm thinking maybe 'Reconstruction' for album 4 ??

I'm pretty overwhelmed by these disks...

Addicted is the 'Epic' one
Decon is the complicated, dark one
Recon is the beautiful acoustic one.

I'M TRULY ENJOYING THIS PROCESS AGAIN.

Not enough hours in the day...and by 11, I'm OUT for the night...up at 5:30 though, my best work happens in the AM...no coffee, so I need to keep eating or I fade.

todays menu-

Breakfast:

Green Tea
Raisin toast
Crispix with soy milk
mango juice
banana

Lunch:
old piece of mushroom pizza
veggie chilli with cheese
Breton crackers with hummus
Apple

Dinner:
Stirfry
Raisin Toast

Snacks:
Clif bar (carrot cake)
Quaker rice chips
29 ounce elephant steak.

I'm thinking "Rejuvinate" or something would work better, because it symbolizes you breaking down what was you that wasn't you (The drugs and fear/paranoia chaos), and rebuilding yourself as who you truly are, also making yourself healthier and better in the process. Better, faster, stronger, ect (Usually it means younger, but what do you associate with younger?).

Like AOL, except you actually WORK.

Also, it's good to see you're enjoying this all again. I had no idea you were vegetarian now.

Carrot Cake! 8)

This album is indeed sounding heavenly.

At first I was a little worried and skeptical, with the whole Nickelback talk and all, I thought it was going to be a simple straight ahead hard rock record but all these updates are revealing it to very much it's own beast.

Epic, layers and high tech sounds, woo this is gonna be good! :)

Your diet sounds yummy....I have a rigorous workout/weightlifting routine, and try to stay healthy. Problem is, I work out with my two best friends and they hate ANYTHING that is good for them.....and I am the cook, so sometimes I feel obligated to eat food that I know will make me bloated and miserable. I also don't think I eat enough. I am still in that "tons of coffee" stage like you were...but that will be last addiction I have to kick. I am fearful that my musical creativity will wane if I quit caffeine. Still can't believe I quit smoking tho. And yes....PROTEIN PROTEIN PROTEIN, helps rebuild muscle!

So...if it is like 3 in the morning in Michigan when I am talking with you, what time is it in Canada?

I am glad to keep hearing the word EPIC associated with addicted. I too was fearful and almost indifferent when the Nickelcrap talk started. Thank you for alleviating that fear hahaha.

Thank you Amber.

Protein shakes are good when you throw enough shit in there to get rid of that sand taste.....try a banana or peanut butter. And also, I have found you get what you pay for.....the cheaper shit is stomach ache city. I just eat tons of protein bars really, cuz I can't usually stomach the shakes.

I can't believe we are talking about health food hahaha...Dev could prolly tell us he uses crest toothpaste exclusively or something and there would 18 pages about it. Luv it.
