Oh great, now I am hungry and mangoiterly excited. Teased with a mango and then an elephant. It's my wildest dream and my darkest nightmare.

!

I'm sure elephant steak with mango juice is an easy mean to get hold of.

Also - Crest Toothpaste? I don't think so. I use this weird red toothpaste, otherwise I get stomachaches. D: Minty toothypaste = Evil. :P

I'm really starting to like what I hear about Addidcted. At first I thought it will propably be an ok album but not great, something that I would listen to for a while before it gets overshadowded by Ki. But now I really think it'll be great piece, real record of the year potential.

I hope it will be released in summer, because it sounds it's going to be the perfect music to listen while lying on the grass.

To Dev,

Plain and simple...

THANK YOU BRO!

On my Honeymoon and listening to the "Addicted" demos everyday because I love the tunes so much. You've created a 'Dev Classic' in my honest opinion and I had the time of my life in the studio with you, Beav and Mark. It was an honor to experience the good ole' days once again.... with awesome friends!!! You rule bro....

Can't wait to hang with ya' again and hear the finished product.

Back to sun tanning....uhm.... burning!

See ya' soon,

RVP

PS... To all you fans... no hype, just truth. This album is going to tear you a new one in a very positive, happy, heavy, groovin' way!!!

I had no fear, to me, the Nickleback comments were always about the 'sound of the sound' (so to speak) rather than the sound of the music. He's said similar things about 'Hysteria' before when referring to the quality of the recording process.

Totally, I confused myself in all honesty...

I think what I was meaning was the SOUND...

I was sort of off the cuff after hearing the song 'I'd Come For You' and the double entendre made me see red for a few days...petty and stupid, yeah...but I guess I'm a little petty and stupid too.

Anyways, Addicted shares only the rough tempos and some sonic qualities with those guys, and it pretty much ends there. And by sonic qualities, I mean frequencies.

Awesome, though it might sound weird to say it I'd still be interested if you went for a completely mainstream approach just to see the places in which your trademarks shone through, only if the meaning behind it was genuine of course though.

Well...thats what this is. (Addicted)

I realized though by writing it...that mainstream for me is heavy as fuck and really peculiar...so in terms of melody, man...thats ALL that Addicted is...but in terms of 'mainstream success', I'd be really surprised if it happened. I can't compromise the music, so for example, a song like 'Nibs' (working title) the midsection is really avant garde, but then segues right back into a big triumphant chorus, so I don't know...

I think this is the most accesable, yet one of the strangest ones. Not 'crazy' strange, just a wierd juxtaposition between commercial production and melodic ideas and heavy weird dev shit.

Addicted is going to have people grooving regardless of being mainstream-friendly or not :P All these updates make it sound so mysterious so far :]

I just looked up those Nickleback lyrics...

"Just one more moment
That's all that's needed...
I'd lay my love on the ground...
I'd come for you...
No matter what gets in my way"

Ew gross Kroeger :x

Haha I can understand that. And after seing DsD just post the part of the lyrics, I'm also saying "ew" xD

If it gets mainstream success or not, I'm sure it'll be awesome anyway. 8)
And this 'crazy' sounds like good crazy to me. :D

That reminds me of "Demanufacture" and "Remanufacture". Maybe i'm not the only one with this "misleading" association, but it don't have to be a problem, of course.
