the special edition version of Alien 3 is actually very good...in my opinion anyways. I do not remember the theatrical cut too well.

Update on the smoker. it is just going through its baptism, hot-smoking half a dozen large rainbow trout. Am now thinking it looks more like the robot from Wallace and Gromitt crossed with a sextoy.

I did take pics of it in its unsullied original state and mid smoke but the lead for that camera is AWOL at the mo.
