I was looking at that one too -- it's gotten a bit out of my range, so I bought a different shirt instead :(

What?

That could be a win-win actually. He could buy your guitar, sign it, and re-sell it as a Dev guitar for profit. :luigi:

The Dev wrote:Hey guys, sorry to keep throwing this stuff at you, but it's helping here with all the bullshit...

After the next couple of batches of ebay sales, there won't be anything else... but there's a few more things I'm going to get rid of this week:

The Ibanez that was made for me for the Vai gig before I went with ESP, a black RG with my name on the headstock. Cool guitar I think

A Jackson Rhodes V that I used for the Alien tour, the New Black photos and was given to me by the producers of 'The Osbournes' when I did those tv commercials for them.
-It's black with red accents with 81's and an old floyd. It's in need of some tlc for sure, but I toured with it alot and it comes with a new black poster and an syl pick etc...

I'll put the Ibanez up for 800$ and the V up for 300 for starts.

And right now, we keep kind of quietly adding memorabilia, (old laminates, posters, crazy shit...) so if any of that interests you, at this point we're adding a few things every day. The spatula was hilarious, but I don't want to capitalize on peoples generosity (there's been quite a few offering money as donation, which is incredibly flattering, but I can't really accept that in my own mind) but that being said, I may make a funny little thing to put up there with my small old coffee maker.

Guitars will go up Monday.

...trying to keep folks aware that it's still going up without announcing it too loudly putting the 'douche-ometer' into the red, ya know...

d

That's exactly why I bought the Spatula. As I said before, I'm more than happy to help out. :-D

Dev, don't feel like a douche! You're amongst the people who love you to bits! :D Whilst you're having to sell all this stuff, you can take comfort in knowing that whoever's gonna get whatever, they're gonna TOTALLY treasure it. I know you don't want to accept donations; but if there's anything you need, don't be afraid to ask people here! If there's one person everyone on this forum would do something for, it's Phil Collins. Failing that, you.

I really think you need to keep throwing some random shit up there, like the spatula. It is completely silly and useless, but it makes it fun. Some people just want to help out, and have no use for anything you've got up so far, and this is a fun way to let them participate.

If you don't feel good about selling kitchen utensils, then just grab a few pieces of paper and draw some silly pictures. You'd be surprised at how many folks would love to bid on something like that. People love what you do, and they want to support that. You have silly fans, and they love silly shit.

People want to help, and are happy to do so. Don't be afraid to let them do so. You aren't taking anyone's money, it is freely given. What you do for a living makes us incredibly happy. Let us give back when we can, any way we can.

Exactly, your music has got me through me so much in my life, cheers me up after a crappy day or being stuck away from home or any number of things that I have no hope of ever repaying so I'm sure others feel the same that the best we can do is pay back in a small way in monetary terms to keep it coming then great!

I agree with the 2 posts above as well. Let us help in any way we can Dev. Your albums have gotten me through some rough times. Ghost in particular.

I really wish I had the money to even compete with the stuff that is up for auction (I REALLY want that City shirt), thankfully I can still help out through the pre-orders and shirts and cds (I'm currently awaiting for a physical copy of the special edition of Synchestra).
