would've jumped on it then.

there's no way you could've possibly thought that cuz the live shows were only announced somewhere between when Addicted & Decon/Ghost were released. just sayin'

I hate to reinforce people who bought two just for that but....what's a man to do in desperate times? :( PM me if interested I guess...

Why? Just send the litho to Devin per mail and he will sign it for free or something. It doesn't make you a worse person if you don't have a numbered special super limited trve cvlt fetish object... ;-) As a fellow nerd myself, i needed my girlfried who told me that actually no one in real life cares about something like that... ;-)

It's not quite the same

Remember that you will have to buy two, then! One with black, the other with white vinyl...

Haha, I'm OK with just one of those. I'm sure I'm not the only one like this though, I recall months back when there were two versions of each album and people were buying 2 of each album just to get a slipcase.

Yeah, that's right - with a slight difference: If you buy two albums, the profit goes to the artist. Same with the spatula-thing or 200 pound for the VIP. Supporting an artist with that is a good enough reason to pay "unreasonable" prices, i guess.

As i said, as a nerd i understand what you mean... ;-)

I mean for me, at least for this box set, it's slightly more than "it's just dev." Ki came out when I was 16, so the DTP albums are kind of to me how probably some Pink Floyd albums are to someone who was 14 at the time, you know? If this was like a SYL box set, I probably wouldn't get it (even though I love SYL), but it's because this set of 4 albums mean so much to me that I'm kind of crazy about getting the super duper edition.

Do what you want, man... ;-) As long as you are aware thats it's some kind of psychological thing (you may ask yourself: why is it so important for you to have exactly this edition? Rationally it has nothing to do with the value of the music which can't be expressed in dollars anyway)...

I have to agree with what others have said. I see what you're saying about getting the absolute best edition, and about the albums being important to you, because I feel the same way; but I met Devin yesterday, at a guitar clinic for no money whatsoever, and got two album covers and a programme signed by him. That means much more to me than the signed "Unplugged" CD I bought, because I actually went out and met him and he signed it for me, rather than him signing it as number 153 out of 500 in an empty room. As cool as buying a signature is, it's also impersonal. There will be an opportunity for you to get your boxset signed, and the experience of doing that will make it more special in the long run. Does that make sense? I'm so tired, I'm not sure I understand the English any more.

Does anyone know when CMDistro will start shipping the box sets? I keep checking my order status, and it's holding at 'In Process'...

Due in stock after Thanksgiving, these will ship as soon as we receive them in early December.

Just saw that...didn't see that before. Thanks.

So, any word on what format the song stems will be in? I'm relatively new to remixing and song stems (know nothing at all), so how will we be able to use the stems, and in what program?

They will probably just be .mp3,.wav or .aiff files. Putting protools sessions on the discs would alienate anyone using cubase/logic etc. Itll probably be mixed down versions of each drum track, guitar track etc. Just an assumption mind you, im probably waaaay off!

My friend and I have no musical knowledge or software whatsoever, but we're interested in all the layering that goes into his songs, so hopefully they'll be in a format where we can just separate stuff out and give it a listen. Sounds like a way to spend an afternoon!
